Me and my Hubby were talking about this very subject. It doesnt have a Massachusetts ring to it. It sounds like he was trying to fake a European accent.
Nothing surprises me about this man. I wouldnt be shocked if he started talking with a southern twang soon..Anything to make himslef look better.
It is becoming quite sad.. _________________ HM2 Donn E. Wagner

All I asssssssskkkkkk, the idearrrr......
Mr. Phoney Baloney trying to pass himself off as one of the few who
have that Kennedy accent at that time. He did it in his "testimony" and
interviews in the early seventies. He was a performer even then. |

To me, he sounded like many egotistical snobs who've undeservedly sought greatness. I've heard others say they're really only concerned with the issue of whether he's completely lying about going into Cambodia. They could care less about his voice, accent, coiffe or even lies about his medals. I too am primarily concerned with the Cambodia lies and I just figured out why. His phony voice, accent, coiffe and his other lies are intentional grabs for glory, relief from Vietnam, political gain and perhaps some other rational motives I've not thought of. But, the Cambodia lie seems to be delusional. Clearly, we cannot have a president suffering from mental illness, even if indiscernibly slight. _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |

If he had just gone to Vietnam and served like everyone else, people would be glad to honor that service. I've read some of the things he
wrote in his journal during his tour on the ship, even then you could tell
he wasn't writing just for himself, it had the ring of something that would eventually be published for posterity. Same as his having a 8mm camera
when he was on the Swiftboats, going as far as re-enacting earlier supposed battles or skirmishes, to take home, I don't know any other veterans who did this, I didn't know they allowed that sort of thing. Doonesbury wrote a couple of cartoons in 1971 about Kerry, even then people viewed the man as an opportunist.
Someday when we look in the dictionary for the meaning of opportunist
John Kerry will be there and under a view other choice words...
Flip-flop: cheap rubber sandal, easily falls apart, John Kerry, (photo)
ex-Senator of Massachussetts, Vietnam Veteran, honorable/war crimes
Phoney: Fake, made up, John Kerry (photo), 1971 Senate Testimony
Melodramatic: overly dramatic, John Kerry (photo) tossing Military
Medals over gate, sends Max Cleland to Texas to hand letter to President
Bush about Kerry's bravery, stunt backfires brands Cleland as Kerry's
idiot
Fake: unreal, John Kerry (photo) said they weren't his medals he threw,
medals now on office wall |

It sounded like the beginning of his own Profiles in Courage. |
