Unfortunately, stuff like this only creates the illusion that the Bush campaign is out to smear Kerry's "band of brothers". It's best to go after Rassman's story, not his personal problems.

I would agree with you Fred if it were the Swiftees behind this possible investigation/article.

If it's coming from the gay press or Fmainstream newspapers, then I think it's as fair game as the Kerry campaign digging up old newsgroup postings from one of the Unfit for Command authors... and may actually discredit Rassmann in the eyes of some...

I guess we'll wait and see if this has legs...

From reading the postings I also consider this guy a racist and the press should be exposing him for his anti gay and racist viewpoints. He is considered a figure in the national limelight and he should not be given a pass. I have always had trouble considering this guy as credible especially when he links up with Kerry no telling what promises and payments Kerry has made to him it would be great to see where the money trail follows I assume if he has received payments Kerry, his wife, or an affiliated organization with Kerry has to make some form of disclosure and this guy has to report it as a gift on his 1040.

It's a two way street, a street neither side should be willing to use. Too bad it's already started.

Does any of this speak directly to his 35yr old memories, or his credibility, or more to some of his beliefs? There is a difference!
