Does anybody know if VFW or American legion endorses presidential candidates? |

| I am not sure if it is because of law, or just policy, but neither the VFW or AL endorse candidates. |

They may not endorse candidates, but do they send out newsletters to the members?  |

My Uncle is a member of the VFW (he is a Vietnam Vet....US Army Combat Engineers....I forget which unit). He always told me that the bylaws of the VFW forbid the VFW or it's member chapters from endorsing any political candidate. That's because they want to be open to all veterans regardless of politics.
Don't know if that is true, but that is what I was told.
