As most of you know, I am stationed here in Germany and have been off and on since 1983. My beautiful wife of 18 years is also happens to be German; as such, I have learned to speak quite a bit of German, it is not perfect by a long shot.
Anyway, one the way into work this morning I stopped at the local "Backeri" and got me a couple of "Berliners". Now for those of you that don't know what a "Berliner" is, it is basically a jelly filled doughnut.
Now I am in the car with my thoughts and it comes to me that John Kennedy once remarked,"Ich bin ein Berliner." Which translates to "I am a jelly doughnut." 
I found this amusing and wanted to share it with everyone.
