|
|
On his show today, Don Imus said he visited Walter Reed with Sen. McCain and asked Kerry if he has visited there. Kerry answered that he had, "many times". Question: has he?
The only thing I could find on Google (using "Walter" and "Reed" and "John Kerry" and "visit" as search terms) was an inconclusive thread discussing this at http://209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/1207556/posts. I went to www.johnkerry.com and used the search engine there, using the same search terms. Again nothing, and I assume that everything on his web site was searched. If he had visited Walter Reed, do you think "Live Shot" Kerry would have passed up the chance to make this a media event?
Cuda and WebTalk brought this up on another thread, and I figured it was worth making a new topic here. This could be another opportunity to show Kerry is still making up and exploiting lies about his "concern" for vets in order to promote himself, while once again we might have more proof he is a pathological liar, unfit for command.
But of course, like Dennis Miller, I could be wrong. If you know whether Lurch actually did so the rounds at Walter Reed, please reply.

He's made this claim, before, but I can't imagine him visiting soldiers without an entourage of photographers.
He doesn't do ANYTHING that isn't calculated for his own advantage.
"Many" visits? Not very bloody likely. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Boston's premier conservative radio talk show host Howie Carr refers to the junior senator as John "Liveshot" Kerry. Yes, he would never miss the opportunity to be in front of the camera. |

If I were a patient at WRAMC, and Kerry walked through, I'd call him over to my bedside, and ask him if he'd do a favor for me... something useful.... like, "GO EMPTY MY BEDPAN!" |

I hate to ask because these soldiers have been through enough -- but does anyone know anyone at Walter Reed who could confirm the number of Kerry visits? |

I wonder if the Kerry campaign would give a straight answer to the dates and times of his many visits to Walter Reed if asked point-blank?
Maybe somebody even in the MSM might know? the blogs?
It would be great to nail Kerry on this one. |

Here's exactly what Kerry said about his having visited the wounded at Walter Reed:
Quote: | I mean, I understand you just went over to Walter Reed; I've been over there, and I know it had an impact on you. I'll tell you, when I met those kids over there and you see some of them with their arms grafted to their legs and they're, you know, going through six months and a year of dealing with a wound that came about because they don't have the armored Humvees over there, because some of these kids are over there without the state-of-the-art armor. I mean, this president sent people to war without the state-of-the-art equipment, without the kinds of allied support, without the kinds of judgments that should have been made beforehand. |

Johnny would have made it front page news on his Campaign Site if he had.
Even H. Clinton went and visited the Wounded, it was not a media circus, but you knew she was there and talked about it afterwards. _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

wally626:
Can you give me the link to where there is that post about a Boston newspaper article in May 2004 referencing a visit by Kerry to Walter Reed?
I went to both the Boston Globe's and the Boston Herald's web sites and searched through their archives databases, and I got zero nada zilch using the following search terms: john kerry walter reed hospital.
If either paper (and those are the only two I know of in Boston) had an article about a Kerry visit to Walter Reed, it ought to have shown up in those searches.

Okay, so he was there, but did he really visit any troops or injured or maimed soldiers?
Perhaps he was there but never visited anyone. They would be just like him. Anytime something happens in a 100 mile radius around him, it might as well have happened to him. BECAUSE he likes to claim credit for anything he feels will be of any political value. |
