Even his brother's beer venture ("Billy Beer") failed.

Contrary to Carter's accusation, Zell Miller actually supported Cleland's Senate re-election campaign in 2002, but Cleland lost mainly because he put the interests of union members above the security of the American people during his vote against the Homeland Security Department. Meanwhile, Saxby Chambliss, who was on the House Intelligence Committee, had a good handle on anti-terrorism issues.

Carter can't blame Zell Miller for that!

I seriously doubt Zell Miller will lose any sleep over comments made by arguably the worst president to have ever been elected into office. Now that's an honor worthy of living with.

Carter was a moron then, and continues to be as one of the leading cultists on the left...

For years I considered Jimmy Carter to have been a decent, moral and respectable man who had simply been completely incompetent to hold the office of POTUS--Now I just think of him as an incompetent who has done a good job of publicizing and attracting support for Habitat for Humanity on the side--

I lost all respect for Jimmy when he went face-down in the Kool Aid (no doubt peanut-flavored in his case) and got on board with Slick Willie, who is the real person who has been single-handedly responsible for the demise of his party, thought the Dems will never admit it--Prior to Clinton, there was a long-standing tradition amongst former presidents that they admit to themselves that they had their terms and now it's time for them to shut-up and allow their successors, regardless of party affiliation, to govern--But Willie ended all that when, as a matter of documented fact, he started shooting off his mouth ON INAUGURATION DAY, 2001--And Carter, who never had an original thought in the first place, got right on board--

And all along I've found any comment he had to make about foreign policy, terrorism, or anything to do with the Middle East laughable considering his own stellar performance in dealing with such things--

James Earl Carter may well go down in history as the weakest, most limp-wristed and universally ineffective president this Country ever had--Somehow, I trouble believing that Zell Miller gives a hoot what Ol' Jimmy thinks, but I have no difficulty at all imagining him telling Carter to SHUT THE **** UP!--

At which point I'd find myself, once again, dittoing Zell Miller--C

I actually used to have alot of respect for Jimmy Carter as a person. As a politician, he was a pacifist, as an economist he was an idiot. Given all of his charitable work and poll watching in 3rd world nations etc., I actually considered him to be the besy "ex" president we had . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Then about 3 years ago he started shooting off his mouth. Never mind the fact that he was given the Nobel Peace Prize for giving nukes to N. Korea. He hasn't failed to not keep his mouth shut just like Bill Clinton. OK so you won the NPP. Your own party really can't stand you either, never really could. But your little NNP gives the party something it has lacked for a while. Someone with presitge and respectablity on the world stage. Go back to grwing peanuts you hack. We are talking something bigger and more important than the democratic party. The survival of this nation. But hey if it goes down the tubes all the better if it's in democratic hands.
Jimmy Carter please shut up. Again this why they put Micheal Moore and you together.
And in reality you and he were a perfect fit. Your love of your party supercedes that of the love of your nation. You didn't even hear what Zell said did you?

Jimmy Carter was, of course, the most incompetent President we ever had. He is equally as inept in world affairs, treaties and statesmanship.

He should stick to Habitat for Humanity.

At the risk of being too cute, (I must)

Jimmy Carter, Go Pound Nails.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't really want to have something on my resume that puts me in the same category as Yasser Arafat.. NPP is a joke

I have to agree, BC did a huge amount of damage to the office and the country by his actions, and has made his dispicable actions acceptable for his followers.

JC would have made a good pastor. I mean this as as a high compliment. He is caring, and has a good heart. However, that is not the only qualifications for pres. He was not tough enough, and trusted that every one was good. The reality is there is much in the world that is evil. This evil must be defeated, Bush is a strong man of conviction. He combines a good heart with the reality that there are evil forces in the world that can't be negotiated with, except from the business end of a gun.

I don't think that I'm the only person who found it significant that Jimmy shared "prestige" box seating space at the Democratic convention with MM--I think that the Dems see them both merely as useful (to them) oafs--

And that's one thing I can actually agree with them about--C

I have to disagree with that point.

I see no use for either of them.

I wasn't as clear about that as I might have been--Well, what I should have said is that the Dems see Carter and MM as being somenow useful to them--

The part that I agree with is that they're oafs--C

The very best thing about the Carter Presidency is when Miss Lillian said,

"Sometimes when I look at all my children I say to myself, 'Miss Lillian, you should have stayed a virgin!'"

Carter was a failure and I don't think it helped that Rosalind Carter sat in on all the cabinet meetins and led old Jimmy around by the balls.

Regarding the JC presidency, I liked the end of it.
