"You are either with us, or you are with the terrorists...." GW Bush.
...guess we know who these clowns are with. Don't expect us to declare war on Canada anytime soon, but we could find other ways to show our displeasure. _________________ Find the perfect babysitter, petsitter, or tutor -- today! |

My T-37 Instructor during Air Force Undergraduate Pilot Training was a Canadian on an exchange program who had flown with their "Snowbirds" precision flying team.

Im not a Canuck, but my understanding of things from friends that are is that a huge segment of Canadians do not support their current Prime Minister in any way. He is a socialist Francophile that they wish was never elected.
Don't be so quick to condemn our beer drinking buddies to the north as they are stuck in the same position all of us will be if John Frenchy Kerry manages to get elected in November.
And any of you that think that is not a possibility need to beat your face and knock out 50 to remind you that this fight is a long way from being over. |

JC, you hit the nail on the head. The Cnadians are not all lock step with their Socialist Government and their is a great deal of anger brewing in Canada over it.
Their Military has been devestated to the point they can not even transport their Army (antiquated Aircraft that have no funding for repairs or replacement), morale is a major problem, and on their mission in Afghanistan their hands are quite literaly tied behind their backs. _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

JC. I agree, not all are against us. They need to rise up and protest this slap in the face to the U.S. _________________ Chance |

Anything is possible, Boston. Probable, however, is another matter.
Bush in a landslide with 16% of popular vote.
If I am wrong, I will do your fifty. I won't even make you let me do modifieds, even if I am a girl. If I am right, you can do 'em. Deal?
Most of Western Canada would like to secede from "French-Canada"
This monument crap is just more good news for Bush as it serves to focus attention on anti-American, anti-military sentiment around the world, and after 9/11 that doesn't play very well here.
I am sorry to see it happen, however, as I know it will be a thumb in the eye to many vets. |

I'll do ya one better Kimmymac. Should Bush pull off the win I intend to go do my part in Iraq so I will keep a running track of all the push-ups I manage to earn along the way (someone my age is going to earn a lot of them ), and let you know the final tally.
If Kerry makes it I will do all I can to support our Men in the field but there is no way in hell I'll fight under that traitor's leadership.
My original point being that we can not afford the attitude of easy victory. I can't tell you how many of my friends could not be persuaded to bother voting during the last election because "there was no way in hell that Gore could possibly win it..." We all know how that turned out. |

I believe we should write to the Kerry camp and recommend that the number one member of VVAW go to Canada and christen the monument. Perhaps we can get Rather to cover the story too. _________________ '58 Airedale HMR(L)-261 VMO-2 |

JC--I have a son in Iraq and a daughter due to be deployed. These days I am doing a lot of "knee-downs" so I will be sure to include you in those. When are you scheduled for deployment, and in what capacity? My son is in the Army, a platoon leader somewhere south of Mosul.
I agree it is vital to maintain vigilence and fight until the last moment in this election. I, too, fear for our troops should Kerry be elected. It will be a disaster for America--and a disaster for America is a blow to freedom everywhere. |

After the monument is finished I think I will make a pilgrimage to the Memorial.
And put dresses and pink lipstick on the figures of the draft dodgers.
I know, I know, sexist! I get to say it because I am a girl, so I can only get in trouble with the NOW crowd, and that's no threat. |

I'll let you know my dates after Nov 2. As for now Im not signing on until I know who wins.
I can only imagine the added anxiety troops must be going through that are over there now. Just the fact that there is an impending election whips the Islamofascists into a frenzy, never mind one where they have their own candidate in the running. |

I could hardly believe my eyes/ears when the monument story hit TV. I live about 10 miles from the Detroit-Windsor tunnel and was a frequent visitor to both their fantastic casino and very nice restaurants. Was turned off permanently when I heard of Canucks holding fund raisers to help the two current deserters who are now languishing in the hate-America campaigns up there. Canada had better pray to God they're not subjected to a 9/11. Who will come to their defense? The good old USA of course! _________________ No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
