What is up with Barnes and Noble Book Store??? Today, I walked in to our local B&N, and prominantly displayed in the window and the very first endcap was Kitty Kelly's book bashing the Bushes. Along side of her trash was every other Bush Bashing book ever written. I strolled along looking for "Unfit for Command", and found it way back hidden in its section.

The same was true for Tommy Franks book, Sean Hannitty's book, and any other book that could be construed as supportive of the Bush administration.

At first I was angry, and then I decided to take matters in to my own hands. I nonchalantly pulled every "Unfit For Command book" off of the shelf, and placed it in front of all the Kitty Kelly books. So when anyone first walked in to the store they were hit with a wall of UFC books. It looked GREAT when I was finished.

Tomorrow, I plan on calling the manager of that store and complaining. I am (was) a regular customer there but no more. I am also calling our local Republican Headquarters and asking them to encourage their members to make similar phone calls. I encourage every one on this list to check their local bookstores and make sure that UFC is getting the attention it deserves. Maybe throughout the country, we can all make a difference!

ROFLMBFAO!!!!!!!!! Way to go Diane! Man, you are one gutsy lady! Our soldiers are fighting across the world, and we are fighting our own wars here at home! Cool

I went into Barnes & Noble in Wisconsin & they had a whole stack of them right on the counter at the 'information desk'. I found that very interesting. Bought 3 copies!

Yep...!!!!! Dito here Diane, Exactly as you described at the Barnes & Nobels In Grosse Point Michigan, In the Point Plaza Shopping Center. I have not seen UFC where it belongs with the best sellers, Although Kitty Kelly's garbage is right in your face as you walk in !

then we should all check our Waldens stores also ... and

buy at the store that puts UFC up front!

and let the store know why you are buying there.... and let the other

store know why you are not buying there.

It's amazing that Barnes and Noble would put their obvious bias
above making a profit from a number one best seller! They will
cut off their nose to spite their face. Go figure.

Individual Democrats (store clerks, managers, stockers) are desperate. They are doing individual acts of censorship. I watched it myself by hanging around my local Borders and watching what happened when people asked for UFC. I suspect that the corperate policy is “sell books”.

I understand the President of B&N let Clinton use the corporate jet to fly to book signing events - one of which JUST happened to be in Boston during the DNC.

Way to go, Diane! I ordered my book (UFC and Frank's)
before they came out...wasn't expecting it until
September and was happy when, apparently, UFC
hit the stores earlier than I had planned on...
anyway I bought mine at Books A Million here
in Biloxi and they had plenty up front at the time,
but I think I'll go back this week and see what's
out...also, seems like I saw somewhere (may be
wrong) that B&N was a major contributer to the
DNC.

Aw, have a little pity on those book-sellers...they know they can sell Unfit For Command, but they might lose money on that Kitty Kelly trash. Laughing

Actually, I noticed that Unfit For Command had a big discount sticker on it at one of those mall bookstore chains, but it was displayed prominently enough. Maybe they are just concerned that the sales might drop after Nov. 2nd.

People call into Hannity all the tiem to tell him his books and other Conservative books even when they are on teh bestseller list are alwasy in the back or buried.

It's amazing! I personally think it's a national level thing with B&N since they seem to be the one that always hides Hannity books.
