I thought I'd watch Neal Bush's ex-wife on 20/20 last night, because she'd denied comments to Kitty Kelly. I thought perhaps there would be an explaination. I thought wrong.
Basically, it reminded me very much of the "Draft" story done recently on CBS. There was a scowling friend who told the interviewer that Sharon Bush was not crazy, that the Bushes were a tight clan (leaning towards selfish) and that everybody knows stuff (but doesn't say what that stuff is).... And Sharon after 23years of marriage "only gets" the house and $2,500 a month alimony for 4 years.... Seems that Neal Bush is the unsucessful son... (Does anybody remember Roger Clinton and Billy "Beer" Carter????)
20/20's "Investigator" discovered Neal Bush went to Hong Kong and had prostitutes show up at his door...while he did dubious consulting work trading on the Bush name. Seems he just divorced Sharon recently and remarried quickly (OK he is a jerk). Sharon basically said she had not talked to the Presdient or Laura Bush since the divorce. The one family story she told was that at her wedding...Barbara Bush asked Sharon who was in her wedding dress to step out of a picture so Barbara could have one with just her sons in it and her..... (Actually, I've seen that done several times...usually relates to "Mom" wanting all her "boys" in their best dress all together....has happened at three weddings I've been in....and the brides all hate that but humor their new Mother-in-law....).
The "investigative" reporter then said that Neal Bush did "consulting" work for some Texas firm owned by a Lebonnese National (I think) that was in Iraq trying to get contracts while our soldiers were under fire. End of story.
Nothing... no real reason to even have on Air....EXCEPT we got to see how Neal Bush is a jerk and when you watch him he looks like George.....(which I suspect was the whole subliminal point of the piece). This type of coverage shouldn't shock me, but I have a feeling it's just a start of what's coming on MSM this October. Now what I'd really like to see is some "Investigative Reporting" of Kerry....the MSM could just start with the first wife.....but that does seem tacky doesn't it? OK, how 'bout John Stossel just "investigates" how the MSM has "covered" the SBVT Story..... |

Why is it that these "investigative" t.v. shows get away with this stuff and they mock the National Inquirer?????? Why has no one investigated Michael Moore? Did he serve our country? |

Actually I met Neal Bush a few years ago at a conference in Palm Springs. I found him to be extremely polite and a very interesting speaker. Things did not work out between Sharon and Neal so I don't believe all the garbage written about him either. He isn't that bad. Marriages do go south. I don't remember any Bush family member (him included) ever saying anything unkind about Sharon. Please correct me if I am wrong. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

I think most Americans view this type of reporting as the horses**t it is. ANY family can be taken apart in the press by skeletons in the closet, less than honorable behavior, or an acrimonious divorce. Remember the attacks on Arnold Swarzenegger before the California governor's election? You will of course, NEVER seen Kerry's ex interviewed by the MSM in a National Enquirer type expose. |
