By a staggering margin of 4 to 1, U.S. military personnel have rejected the presidential candidacy of Sen. John Kerry, a new survey by Army Times magazine shows.

Also, the same poll shows more troops are Republicans, only 13% of the troops said they were Dems. |

How can one in five soldiers support a traitor ?
I am disappointed. _________________ MACV '64...65

Best be keeping an eye on those overseas ballots by our men and women in combat.
Kerry just got a good reason to see the do a "disappearing act" like the ones in the 2000 election. _________________ Everytime he had a choice, Kerry chose to side with communists rather than the United States. |

GREAT news! We've just got to get the truth out to those 18% and make sure everyone gets to vote.
I think if we could get vets down to that margin and then have them VOTE, too.... vets and the military could lose this election for John Fraud Kerry - all by ourselves!
We aren't the biggest and most sought-after "special interest group" for nothing - the problem is that we don't vote as much as we could. (We vote more than non-vets/military, but that's not saying a whole lot. If we could push our turnout up to near 90% on election day, we could do it, though!) _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

I have commented on this before as I have a son I keep in touch with in Iraq. He is a member of a Medical unit specializing in Psych problems.
He told me that overwhelmingly the soldiers hate Kerry, with the exception of a few doctors, who are mad at Bush for taking them away from thier private practises and losing money. Its funny, these same doctors (many of whom I have met) didn't mind weekend duty where they stayed a couple hours and went home, drawing 4 - 500 dollars per day. Then again, they like Komrade Kerry are the aristocrats and should not actually have to earn their pay like us commoners |

I too have a son in Iraq and have heard from him that he and all his men hate Kerry. I also have a husband that is a doctor, but not military. He and all his colleagues hate Kerry and especially Edwards for his astronomical medical malpractice suits. Just thought I'd set the record straight on doctors. |

6/4/04 In Minneapolis Kerry announced his plan to recruit 1 million veterans in an effort to get the majority of the 26 million veterans vote out for himself. Does anyone have an update on how that plan is coming along? _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

Perhaps CBS could do a story about the lack of troop support for Kerry. _________________ Defender of the honor of those in harms way keeping us out of harms way.

Easy, we had 8 yrs of Jefferson Clinton shoved down our throats, very small pay raises, running out of blanks and yelling bang bang you're dead, rifle range personnel being extremely stingy with shooting slots, maneuvering and manipulation of the system to get adequate flying time for our pilots, etc, etc, etc _________________ Never Ever Give Up

If Kerry wins, we'd be asking a military to be loyal to a man that betrayed their fathers, uncles, etc and they have heard about it all their lives. Just think about it. Love of country is one thing, but they need to respect and admire their President too to be strong and effective. |

I think Kerry has recruited about 15 so far. He has aggravated and alienated around twenty million. |

I heard on one of the national talks shows (can't remember which one) that a lot of Military are holding up their re-enlistments unril after the election. They say if Kerry is elected they are getting out. Same thing happened under Clinton. Most Vets know what will happen if Kerry does win, can't let that happen.
