Fox just came on and said they were going to show the book that Kerry wrote and that the democratic party didn't want it shown and there is good reason why. So we'll hang on here and see what's said. |

DNC's Susan Estrich's response to controversy about the book: "It's being brought up solely for political reasons, and I think it reflects part of a larger effort by the Bush team and Bush's supporters, basically to smear John Kerry"
Fox reporter quotes from Kerry's introduction in the book: "We were sent to Vietnam to kill Communism. But we found instead that we were killing women and children." |

General Tommy Franks delivered a strong endorsement of the President yesterday in Reno. In a story covering the event, Dissociated Press writer Martin Griffith quoted a Kerry operative, Sean Smith, thus:
"Kerry never branded any U.S. troops in Vietnam as war criminals."
Gee, I guess we can't read.

I guess Sean Smith didn't watch the 1971 Senate Committee Hearing on C-Span when Kerry said, "atrocities were committed on a daily basis". Or he has what is called, "A SELECTIVE MEMORY". |
