Sinclair: Kerry Enemies List 'Just Astounding'

Reacting to a threat from a Kerry campaign official who was unhappy about Sinclair Broadcasting's decision to broadcast a documentary about John Kerry's anti-Vietnam War protests, Sinclair spokesman Mark Hyman said Tuesday that he was "astounded" to learn that the Kerry campaign was keeping a media "enemies" list.

"To imply that they might use something such as the independent regulatory process of the FCC to exact revenge against media organizations that they find to be enemies or not supportive of their cause is just astounding," Hyman told Fox News Channel's "Special Report with Brit Hume."

Earlier in the day, campaign spokesman Chad Clanton had warned, "Listen - they better look out there at Sinclair Broadcasting . . They've stirred up a lot of hatred . . . I think they're going to regret doing this. They better hope we don't win."
Hyman said Clanton's words "certainly sounded like a threat," and that was cause for widespread concern.

"It's something that should cause concern for every media organization in the country - if this is going to be a precedent for this campaign or any other campaign should they win," the Sinclair spokesman told Fox.

I posted that yesterday on the other side. I couldnt believe my ears, what an idiot. Im hoping to hear alot more about it in the next few weeks, kerry needs to do some "splainin". Maybe Chad needs to enlighten us as to what he meant by his comments! Very Happy

Threats are standard operating procedure for the Kerry Bunch.

Look how they tried to intimidate TV stations from running Swift
Boat Ads.

Look how tried to Block O'Neill's book RE bookstores and demanding
the publisher withdraw distribution of the book.

Another thought--
I think its important that we keep e-mailing
Sinclair Broadcasting that we really want to see this documentary.
They can use the FLOOD of mail to prove there is GREAT PUBLIC
DEMAND TO AIR THE PROGRAM.

I suspect he just said in public what the Kerry campaingn had been saying in private. That is why it came out so naturally! Truth just squirted out.

Thats right, have you ever heard a child blurt out something out of normal context? We all know where it came from and I hope Hannity gets a crack at Chad Clanton soon.

It's sad to see this happening in my country of all places. I really think we are seeing the rise of pure evil with the Democrtic party. People that are helping Kerry that don't exactly buy into this (moderate dems) had better watch out after the election.

I bet some people will be outed if he doesn't get elected and if (G*d forbid) if he does then it might be worse.

I don't call them the "Kerry Kampf" for nothing!

Look at all the suppression this campaign has attempted!

As for keeping an "enemies" list, that's totally in line with what the lately-added former Clinton advisors would do.

The Clinton's ran the most chilling administration you can imagine - people thought Nixon was paranoid and spiteful, but the Clinton's were much worse. They put J. Edgar Hoover to shame in that department!

A Kerry administration (God help me, I gag every time I type that possibility) would follow perfectly in their steps.
