It was decidedly not a poorly stated joke, nor a deliberate denigration of the troops.

There is a third, and much more accurate descriptive. It was an off-the-cuff, intemperate but accurate expression of leftist-elitist disdain for the military that he and his kind have demonstrated on countless occasions in the past.

Kerry's phony umbrage at HIS suggestion that others are calling it a deliberate swipe at the troops is a STRAWMAN.

This was my first gut impression. Why I got so mad. off-the-cuff, intemperate but accurate expression of elitist disdain for the military that he and his kind have demonstrated on countless occasions in the past.

A wise a$$ remark in front of a bunch of young people he thought would
be impressed.

The joke doesn't fly at all. Insert words, phrases, do a word jumble there is no joke there. And his staff told 3 different version of this so called joke.
So once again Skerry is in the business of telling lies to cover lies.

Kerry's apology was the most insincere crocodile tear statement in years.
The sleezeball isn't one bit sorry, except that he's sorry he got caught and was forced to apologize to placate his fellow liberal politicians.

"I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform and I personally apologize to any service member, family member or American who was offended," Kerry said in a statement." (taken from Reuters)

I wouldn't say this was an apology. My kids never got away with anything that would have sounded like this.

skerry interpreted:

"You were not smart enough to understand my real intent, so I will be understanding of your intellectual deficiency and I will be big enough to excuse your confusion."

Translation:

I personally apologize to any service member, family member or American who were offended by THEIR WRONGFUL MISINTERPRETATION of my words.

This is no apology. It is a further insult.

As this Army retiree puts it (found by MichelleMalkin.com ),

the fake apology actually REQUIRES another apology:

Quote:
"Kerry said that if anyone thought his remarks were intended for the military then they were crazy.

Yet he apologized today for remarks that he made if people took offense.

Well, if folks took offense that means that they thought his remarks were offensive to the military.

That means that he called those folks to whom he apologized CRAZY.

He owes another apology to us."

Don't hold your breath waiting for that next apology, he still hasn't apologized for '70-'72!

Deuce
