J. C. Watts

Nothing scary about him, though, unless you are the Democrat opponent.

I think Condi is very serious about returning to Stanford and it would be difficult to persuade her to run. I think State with its entrenched Clinton/Albright appointees has about worn her out.

Looks like Palin is very comfortable where she is but, who knows? McC could do worse. I have this vision of her and the Queen of Snark, Pelosi, sharing the dais at the State of the Union. Bizarre.

I heard that he was seriously considering Joe Lieberman.

I think he does need someone younger becuase he will be attacked on his age....along with his reported nastiness he has about him.

Gov Palin just announced she is 7 months pregnant. Between being a mother again and running the State government I suspect she might have second thoughts about accepting the nomination and hitting the campaign trail but who knows?

One of the local state judges tried running for office while pregnant several years ago. She told me it was not a good idea.

Condoleezza Rice Would Consider VP Job
http://www.newsmax.com/kessler/condoleezza_rice_vp/2008/03/27/83512.html

Wow now that Condi has made her intentions known,
if Condi takes the VP position with McCain then McCain is just about a shoe-in.

Watts apparently is now with CNN which should improve that channel.

He has a listing on a public speaker site.

Wink I'll bet this country could almost have an election by unanimous acclamation if McCain would just put her at the TOP of the ticket.

Dr. Rice is the real "smartest woman in the world."

Isn't that sort of understood with Senator McCain's age going in? The choice of a VP candidate is probably going to get more comment on the Republican side for just that reason.

I like Condi Rice alot...but think that if McCain puts her on the ticket the DNC will promote McCain/Rice as a continiation of the Bush Adminstration and might not work for the RNC.

We all know the MSM dislikes President Bush immensly and we saw what happened with Clarence Thomas and how he was raked over the coals by the MSM and the African-American community declared him an Uncle Tom. But remember...shhhhhhh we can not discuss race if we are white because we do not understand what racism really is (I think Rev Wright gave a good show of it). If we are honest we all know it excist on both sides and by pretending it is not there does noone any good.

Will Senator McCain pick Condi Rice...who to know...as I have said often November is a long way off and sooo much can happen between then and now.

I do not think that at this point McCain has even narrowed it down. I guess it will all depend on what happens and who will bet suit the situation at the time.

McCain needs to watch what is happening in Iraq and with things heating up once again this hurts the Republican nominee and could hurt McCain.
