ASPB, patience I have! Seeing Kerrys stories crumble and change under the Scrutiny of this Group and finnaly the media is a welcome thing for me.
I will sit by and wait patiently as more and more holes are poked into his lies.

Still, sooner or later he or those he's got out there doing his talking for him about these charges are going to have to address this blatant discrepancy--And every time he does that, it lends further credibility to the charges--C

As soon as I get confirmation by an online story I am going to post this everywhere. I hope someone puts a page of running lists of SWVT accounts that have been proven true. With multiple links to news sources.

The table has turned after more than 30 years. John Kerry armed with lies and a communist backed agenda in 1970's gathered a band of missfits to tell the nation his fellow Vet's and Leaders were guility of war crimes and other uncontrolled activites. The Vet's had no oppertunity to defend themselves against the one Vet who chose to better his political future by using his four month tour of duty in Vietnam to dishonor the very oath he took as a Naval Officer.
Now 2004 and after more than 30 years of disgrace The Swift Boat Veterans For Truth have the Stage and opened the door for the truth. There courage and unselfish dedication has rendered the real truth to come out about John Kerry and his propaganda machine.
Today John Kerry who is at his highest need for support for his race against G. W. Bush for President wants to disengauge from his claims he made over 30 years ago and respect him as a leader and a Vietnam Hero.
The Truth about John Kerry has surfaced and nothing can stop the the Vetnam Vet's to expose him. If he suceeds in his quest for President the Vietnam Vet's will follow him to D.C and he will never silance us again. We will be his "WORST NIGHTMARE". until the truth prevails.

It is a bad strategy to quibble over this Purple Heart.

A self-inflicted wound IS eligible for a Purple Heart if it occurs in the presence of the enemy. As an example, a soldier who is hit by a fragment of his own grenade or burns his hand on his hot machine gun barrel because he was fighting the enemy is treated as if he was wounded by the enemy. We will not get anywhere with this and other vets who suffered similar "self-inflicted" wounds will be offended.

We can get all over Kerry for what he did later on, though.

In my opinion, I don't think calling Kerry out on this casts a shadow on self-inflicted wounds while under enemy fire at all, and Purple Hearts awarded appropriately for that.

John Kerry needs to explain why he was grenading a bin of RICE while under fire. Shocked

Bill,

Your facts are not straight on that.

No one is begrudging Kerry his self-inflicted wound. Stuff happens. Friendly fire happens. even VERY friendly fire happens.

It's what Kerry did with that self-inflicted wound (NO HOSTILE FIRE INVOLVED). First, applying himself for a purple heart. Usually, this is not required, as the purple heart is usually self-evident.

But he was then refused because the wound was not significant and because there was no hostile fire.

He then WENT BACK after the original doctor left, and APPLIED again, stating that hostile fire was involved.

The Third Purple Heart was because of a contusion (AKA a bruise) and a self-inflicted wound (NO HOSTILE FIRE INVOLVED). Which is clearly not eligible for a Purple Heart.

Why is this relevant? Because he used his 2 fraudulent PHs to get the hell out of there after 4 short months.

Again, this is 35 years ago. Not necessarily damming in itself. People behave stupidly when they're young. Some incredibly brave, some stupid.

But Kerry THEN came back, using his awards to enhance his credibility, and then visciously attacked his fellow vets for his own personal gain

THEN...

30 years after that...

Says the single best reason to vote for him is because he served SOOOOO bravely in Viet Nam, and SOOOOOO Honorably. And all those who served with just LOOOOVED him and they're a Band of Brothers forever and ever and ever.

So, yes, I think his two fraudulent purple hearts are indeed fair game.

Not because they were fraudulent, but because he says they weren't.

If Kerry LIED to get his decorations, that changes things IMMENSELY. (An officer shall not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.)

Only problem-- SOMEONE had to sign off on these awards. So if the decorations were fraudulent, it also reflects on a superior officer who signed for them. Has anyone spoken to those officers? If they do believe they were lied to, they will be furious, and rightly so.

Bill,

That's why some of the officers who supported Kerry earlier are members of SBV4T now.

Enter ADM Hoffman, CDR Elliott, Kerry's entire chain of command and most of the officers who served with him in Vietnam.

Kerry was trusted as an officer and a gentleman. He took his superior officers for a ride.

Yes, they are furious - they have been furious since Tour of Duty came out and they realized that Kerry had gamed the system for at least two medals and an early out.

They started comparing notes and networking and putting the puzzle together.

The result: "Unfit for Command."

Who do think is responsible for forwarding the reports and writing the recommendations? George Elliot, and yes, he's a leader of Swiftvets and really pissed. He only found out Kerry had lied to him after reading Tour of Duty and talking to his peers from the time a few months ago.

Bill,

That's why we need Kerry to sign the Standard Form 180. It would cover questions like these. I do know that Kerry's CO told him to forget about it the first time he asked for a purple heart for that injury.

Major Garrett reported on Special Report with Brit Hume's Monday show that "Kerry's campaign has said that it is possible that this first purple heart was awarded for an unintentional self-inflicted wound." I had recorded his show (too many to watch simutaneously) and found the quote. [/i]

Is there an original online transcript of this?

It would be worth having.
