I don't mind the Edwards people harping on Dole. They're not very nice people and this doesn't surprise me, Dole was in combat. If Kerry was in combat he wouldn't have had to apply twice for his PH.

I just don't want national pundits smearing Dole.

(From my understanding, Dole's grenade was not the wound of his that did the most damage).

THE GOOD NEWS:

It looks like people, even on the Kerry site, are beginning to accept that Kerry's wound was self inflicted.

They don't see the difference yet, but if they want to go after Dole by saying its the same thing, not knowing the difference between self-inflicted during combat and those while it's just you and your buddies?

Let them.

It's an admission that it IS self-inflicted.

Consider that the enabler in everything is the leftist media. If it's righteous it is stiffled. If it's harmful it is played 24/7. The hippies began protesting 3/24/65 when the SDS held a teach in at the U of Michigan. April 17 big march in DC. No fawning media, no publicity. If the long hairs were treated by the media the way conservatives are there would never have been a movement that went anywhere. If the 6 o'clock news hadn't conspired to turn America against our military, milllions would still be alive in Vietnam and Cambodia. The Senate leftists could have held their hearings in 1971 but they would not have been news without their complicit partners and they would not have turned so much of good hearted America against our brave men and women that served in Vietnam.

Dole has demonstrated that he is a true, honorable American. He's also one helluva man with a lot of good character.

When you think about it, you don't have to necessarily agree with Dole's politics, but you do have to respect the man.
