It's much simpler than all of these theories I believe:

1. Heeeeeaaaaaaaawwwwwwww

2. John Kerry next most viable candidate.

Where are you going with that list anyway?

I refuse to believe in a Rodham-Clinton "rescue" as it seems too comic bookish. The world isnt' really like that is it? Can the public really "buy" it?

I think the answer is quite simple.
IGNORANCE and STUPIDITY.

They boughty 8 years of Clinton, a few Tomahawks to diffuse Monica's testimony, made us all wonder what does "is" really mean, etc ad nauseum. Never under estimate some of the publics ability to look at the sun and say it doesn't shine. Maybe I'm too much of a cynic (?).

This thread is begining to sound like "move on" and the rest. It is in danger of being used as a Republican site to bash all Dems. The Dems, in particular, Kerry's DNC, could use it as proof that the SBVs really are a Rep. front. There goes all the hard work. Credibility lost. Be careful! Mods?

"Move On"? Look, there are Democrats around, I know that. Kerry's disloyalty towards his comrades demands an answer, and that transcends Party Loyalty. We all recognize that this is neither a Republican site, nor a Conservative site. Neither is it a "Move On"-type site. Nevertheless, you can hardly expect people to stop being what they are when they come in here.

I grew up a Democrat in a Democrat home, and didn't change parties until much later. I spent 3 years studying House debates in light of the bills they were discussing ('94 to '97), and that sealed the bargain for me -- the Democrats who run their Party lie habitually (that is, they are knowingly wrong). Now, I am a registered Republican, and proud of it. That doesn't mean I am in the control of those Republicans who run the Party.

This expectation that people should stop being what they are when they come in here smacks of Liberal Socialism. That's what they want to do to Conservative Christians, kick them out of the Public Square. They can't stand the debate, so they want to silence the opposition. But, Conservative Christians have as much right to the Public Square as anyone else, because it's Public.

Now, if the Moderators want to control their space, fine. If they don't want me to speak as I think, fine. I'll go away. This place isn't public, and they have rights I don't possess around here. I can go set up my own space, and kick anyone out of there I don't like. But, when someone calls on the "Mods" to shut someone else up, that raises a bright red flag with me. Just remember, if any site comes along that exposes Kerry's lies, even if it was started by a bi-partisan group, you can just expect a lot more Republicans to join up than Democrats. Get used to it.

Devil Don had the most accurate assessment. Sgt-Keeper is on mark that this Site is beginning to attract the deranged element of the Black Helicopter Republicans with their elaborate Hillary Conspiracy Theories.

On topic of Kerry and Vietnam though, it speaks volumes for the Democrat's military service blindspot.

Few in the younger Dem activist ranks have any experience with the military. They see those in the military as "evil tools" of the Establishment. The only one with a military background they could accept once Howling Howard melted down was someone that was "safe". Meaning a politician that had proved" themself by displays of courage, but then properly rejected his comrades in arms as monsters, and who had confessed the error of his military service - by gaining the insight that he was only a victim being used as a deadly machine by the evil capitalist system.

So they ate up Kerry when he showed up as a resurrected War Hero, along with his recruited and compensated "Band of Brothers" propmen. Because they knew Kerry was shameful of that past, on another level, and had spent 30 years properly toiling in the Liberal Democratic vineyards to atone for the errors of his ways. And the stray General Wesley Clarke or TV Commentator Colonel were adulated by the Dems provided they Bush-bashed with vigor - but deep down, nothing has changed much since Vietnam. Liberal Democrats still fear and revile the military.

When he won the nomination and made his Convention a "I am a War Hero and Great Soldier" spectacle, I wondered how many people who remembered Kerry's past antics were as upset as I was. Since the Swifties opened it all up, I don't wonder anymore. Lots and lots of people besides us Vets think Kerry is repugnant and should be loathed.

Bush is no real prize. He holds his tax cuts for the wealthy higher than any other ideal he has - even resisting supporting the troops by adding to their numbers because it jeopardizes his CEO tax cuts. And, he has been in the seductive grip of the Neocons - that don't have America's best interests truly at heart. Neocons that infused Bush with some of their reckless arrogance on job outsourcing, open borders, "go it alone we need no nation's help", and the Iraq post war phase.

But while Bush is a subpar President mainly concerned with making his rich cronies richer, and can be a dunderhead - another Ford - Kerry is Carter. Just as sanctimonious, just as bad a leader and liberal, but without Carter's sincerity.

But while Kerry-Bush may be as poor a choice as Ford-Carter, we ruefully learned looking back, while Ford was a mediocre President, Carter was a disaster who not only gave Americans misery - he gave rise to radical Islam with his vacillations and weakness.

I believe they picked John Kerry for several reasons.

1. Having a defeatable Democrat like Kerry, ensures NO re-election in 2008. Hence, Hiliary can just waltz right in and save the day.
2. By picking Kerry, the Demo's will "see their ways" and try to reform themselves. Again, Hiliary to the rescue in 2008. With a new spin.
3. By concentrating on Kerry, the Senate and Congressional races are barely being touched. Again, a few seats here and there, they control both houses and Bush is basically dead-locked for the second term.
4. They [Demo's] realize that's it's hard if not impossible to change the Presidency during a war, therefore they look to the future. They figure they can bide their time and eventually they will get what they have coming to them.

Just a few thoughts.

Steve,
I believe you hit the nail right on the head. The only person that might be able to be Hillary, is Collin Powell. forgive my spelling.

I don't usually have much use for conspiracy theory type stuff, but having read "Unlimited Access," "Reckless Disregard," "Re-Writing History" and "American Evita," I can tell you that the Clintons almost certainly do NOT want a Democrat elected this year.

Those books scared the heqq out of me, for this one reason: we barely ever got a glimpse of the nastiness and the conniving that went on in the White House during the Clinton years. We saw only the tip of the iceberg.

These books really lay it out there for you. Don't underestimate Hillary based on what we could see during Clinton's terms.

Understand that this is a formidable opponent who has as many faces as Eve and only a couple of the public ones are admirable or pretty. She's as empty a suit as John Kerry and even more capable of nasty politics than he.

If anyone is a Sean Hennity fan and believer as I am, it will most certainly be Hilliary Rodham Clinton in '08. Never underestimate her. She is most certainly Slick Willy II and can give the GOP a run for their money.
John McCain I believe at this point may be a more popular public figure and if he takes a more stronger stand on issues along with the GOP platform he has a excellent chance to pull off the election. Also, being somewhat of maverick, he may appeal both to the moderates and liberals alike.
I believe that Kerry believed that '04 was his shot against a wartime and popular sitting President. Believe it or not, any Dems canidiate in '04 was probable regarded during the primaries as a throw-away. Iraq however, gave the DNC hope for an upset, but as we know the ghost of Nam and especially his conduct during the anti-war years will surely be his undoing.

The republican who will run in '08 will be Jeb Bush with McCain or Guliani.
Most Presidents have come from Governors not Senators or Congressmen, or ex-mayors, further Jeb has the name recognition.
I think he would be our best shot at 8 more years of prudent service to our country. He will definetly beat anyone the dems throw at us including Hillary.

Frankly, I believe if Kerry won the election, he won't be elected, he'll be INSTALLED! Then imagine a "puppet regime" with George Soros and the Clintons calling the shots! Far out??

NEW? Kerry web site for conservatives. Everything you wanted [or didn't want to know] about Kerry, but were afraid to ask!

Slick Hilliary still has t win Senate re-election in '06 to be viable candidate for '08 and that is certainly not a done deal. If she loses that one she is finished in politics.

The kid Congressman gave her a run for the money in 2000
