I'm not buying 50 because I'll need to go
to a Home Depot and sticker every bumper and then
need to dispath the lone Kerry supporter with a wisk broom.

I'll buy one and stay out of trouble Twisted Evil

Tom, what you need to do is take volunteers from teh site to act as distributors, tehy can buy boxes of 50 from you, and then can PM, be PMed, or sell them through ebay or something for you.

I'd volunteer but i'm between jobs and only in country for another three weeks. But I'm sure there are plenty on the site that would take on the job of fronting 250 per box and distributing them to members in a second.

it's a workable if not ideal solution to make sure that the money gets into sbvft pockets without overextending you

CafePress.com lets you sell without having to have an inventory:

http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/

They print the bumperstickers on demand.

again, this is done as a FUNDRAISING as well as PUBLICITY measure, using a service like CAFEPRESS or one of hte ebay sellers gets the PUBLICITY but NOT the FUNDRAISING.

ASPB has a good idea here to stuff 8k more in the coffers, lets not kamikaze it until it turns out that it's not workable Very Happy

May I offer a word of caution in regard to bumper stickers? I am currently carrying a "Kerry Lied While Good Men Died" sticker on my Jeep Cherokee. There is a faction of Dems who think they have the right to damage property that doesn't belong to them. I refer to the practise of 'keying' cars with anti-Kerry stickers. My solution? Go to a craft store, buy a sheet of magnetic material, fix the sticker on this sheet, cut to size and place on your vehicle. When I park my car, I remove the sticker, then replace it before I drive off. When elections are over you can reuse the 'magnet' next time around by placing a new sticker over it. It sure beats having to get your car painted. Cool

Preliminary unit cost on a buy of 1000 $1.92
includes artwork,tax, and shipping

Preliminary unit cost on a buy of 5000 $0.58

I'll personally sell them in lots of 100 for $150 Plus Fedex Shipping.

Charge whatever contribution you like and "on your honor" contribute the profit to Swiftvets.

Indications of interest today please in order to expedite the order. All of my profits will go to Swiftvets.

I like the idea of flyers that can be handed out. What about a synopsis of "bullet points" of what Kerry did during and after the Vietnam war, similar to the jacket of the Unfit for Command book, with a picture of Kerry testifying before the Senate, and the address and Internet site for the SBVT at the bottom?

Ok,

Here's the final deal for anyone interested.

Orders of 100 will be available for shipping next Friday at $1.00 each plus shipping via Fedex (estimated at $12.00) I'm going to distribute locally for a $5.00 contribution to Swiftvets or give them away if I have to with a plea for an on-line contribution.

If you were to buy them at Cafepress they would charge us $2.49 each plus shipping and handling.

Ok, I've put up $2500.00 to start this campaign by paying for 4000 High Quality Repositionable Bumper Stickers. I'll keep 2 or 3 hundred for myself so we need 37 or 38 true believers to pony up roughly $100 and some of their time.

4000 stickers could be $16,000.00 in contributions for Swiftvets.

Ask not what Swiftvets can do for you but ask what you can do for Swiftvets.

Email me at velero108@comcast.net Any net profit I personally gain from this effort (which I doubt) will be given to Swiftvets.

Tom

Well, I'd love to have one, but considering my geography, I would not have many people to give them to.

So I'm going to continue to support the SBVT in the old-fashioned way: straight cash.
