It will take another several weeks to know just how much Kerry has been damaged. If Bush reaches 58% in the Newsweek or Time Polls by then panic will begin to set in. If it begins to look like another Nixon or Reagan landslide where Daschle of South Dakota and Bowles of North Carolina look beaten don`t be surprised if a change is made. But your right we can`t let up.

I agree it is way too early to call it over, but I do like to hum, "Turn out the Lights, the Party's Over" whenever I see the new polls. BTW, the Iowa futures buy/sell has been a very good indicator of election results, and Kerry is sinking every day.

Regarding Dean having a 15 point lead in Iowa, daily tracking polls showed him taking a nosedive each and every day.

The only way I will believe that John Kerry is defeated is when I read it in three different history books on my hundredth birthday. Until then, keep turning up the heat. This guy reminds me of Jason in the hockey mask. I thought we were finished with him years ago. Even if he does lose this election, he could be back in 2008 , 2012, or 2016. We not only need to defeat him this election, we need to make sure he can’t win in the future.

Speaking as a Massachusetts resident, I'll celebrate Kerry's demise when he fails to be re-elected to the Senate.

Things are so bad (that is, good) that locally Dash Hole has been running ads showing him and President Bush embracing. What a stab in Kerry's back! This does look like an election of Dukakisian proportions.

But that's not enough! Defeating Kerry is not sufficient. We have to utterly destroy him, not only his political ambitions, but also as a reputation and as a man! - For the sake of evry POW he betrayed. For the sake of every one of our comrades who died because Kerry prolonged the war. For the sake of the Vietnamese who perished because Kerry helped bring the NVA to power. Even after the election, we should not give up - there will still remain the posibility of criminal prosecution - for either war crimes or perjury (Lyin' John's choice), and treason. As well as other charges relating to falsification of recordds and fraudulently obtaining rewards and emoluments.
Perhaps we cannot nail Hanoi Jane, or the Berrigan Bastards, but Lyin' John Kerry has put himslf in the crosshairs, and we must not let the opportunity slip away. It will be a giant step for rehabilitating the truth about the war.

It is most important for our cause and country that we keep hammering ,and I mean really hammering, away at Kerry. We can expect lots of lies and B/S to come at us from the Kerry bunch, but we can and must keep up the pressure, ads and statements and make all America aware of his lies and past depicable acts. Don't relax until night of November 2nd and after 8PM on that day too. We don't have to focus and worry about Demos tactics and problems, but rather keep researching, publicising and broadcasting the truth about him. We have started and it's a good start, but it's a marathon not a sprint and we have to keep our eyes on the goal. Good luck, God Bless and all heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the SBVT, this site and our vets everywhere.

It is important to keep the truth going and to keep pressing on. John Kerry will not give up since this is what he has planned since before he went to Vietnam. But do not get over confident. Anything can happen 60 days is a VERY long time in election time. Shocked

I understand that we don't want to get ahead of ourselves but let's look at the track record of the party in question.

They have absolutely no problem with avoiding the truth. But when caught they will continue to deny their fate. So here they are wanting something so badly and are confronted with a sobering fate. What will they do? You now @#$%$%# well what they will do. And Kerry will be another log on the fire for them.

I guess you could say that Kerry is the " spitball" the Dems decided to throw at us first.

LMAO Wink

But if he did quit by some miracle, then the SVFT would have accomplished their goal of keeping Kerry from becoming president. Then it doesn't really matter who took his place, as long as it isn't John Fonda Kerry. Some of them would probably vote for his replacement, from what I've gathered.

We cannot even appear to rest on our laurels with a few triumphs under our belts.

Two months is forever in an election. Anything can happen.

We can't let up - we must continue our email campaigns, letter-writing, lobbying against Kerry right up to the last poll closing on election day.

We need to go for more than a win - we need to push for an absolute landslide - something that the leftists and anarchists and socialists cannot ignore. A landslide that the mainstream media cannot ignore.

We need to send a message that Americans do NOT accept a dishonorable, lying, self-serving politician such as John Kerry as a viable candidate for our leader.

Celebrate the victories and don't let the inevitable downturns discourage you - but, keep the pressure on just as you're doing.

I agree. Nothing less than a massive repudiation of Kerry by the people will be enough. I would love nothing more than for this bunch to wake up on Nov. 3 with all their dreams of power in ashes.

Re: Hammer2

If Hillary was to replace Kerry as the Democrats nominee, I probably wouldn't vote for her. But I wouldn't donate money to a group opposing her, as I have to the Swifties. I feel that Kerry's lies and treason make him far and away the worst presidential candidate in U.S. History, so thats why I'm here supporting the free speech of these veterans.

Thing is.....it will be a landslide. We all worry about saying this out loud because we know America loves the underdog. Even if the underdog is not the best we all love to root for the little guy.

And I think that is what we are afraid of. America will see that he is such a moron that they will have sympathy for him and actually vote for the poor bas....d. BUT it does not harm our cause to speculate on his replacment.

Kerry is too arrogant and proud to quit. Besides (and this should be a warning to us), Kerry has a habit of late campaign surges. In addition to that, registration dates are fast approaching for most states.

If Kerry were to be replaced, it would be by Edwards most likely. Hillary knows she can not defeat a sitting wartime president (which is why she didn't run).

I agree on the arrogant point...but the Torch in NJ proved that rules of an election can be twisted so you can get what you want. Kerry's arrogance is obviously on full display but the PARTY will take nessesary steps to do what is in their best iterest. Unless for some reason the Dems are thowing in the towel on this election and that is why they let Kerry take the fall for them.

Thinker,

I think that's exactly what the DNC is doing....letting Kerry take the fall for them. Kerry is not the strongest Dem candidate. Either Gore or Hillary would have been much stronger candidates (for different reasons).

Why didn't they run? Because they (and most of the DNC leadership) figured that they couldn't possibly beat a wartime incumbant. That's why the Dem field was so weak this time. The fact that Kerry showed such strength suprised them (for a while), is all.

However, if the numbers that start coming out on Mon and Tuesday are as bad as I think they are going to be, I expect Dem attacks to redouble. While the DNC no longer thinks Kerry can win, they do want him to suffer from a narrow loss. That would set them up for 2008 and keep the party from disintigrating. If it is a blowout, then the Dems are in deep trouble in '08 and '12.
