This woman is definately demented and a unabashed nut case. She is definately a great spokeswoman for the Liberal Left. The next thing out of her mouth will be she was abducted by Aliens controlled by Bush.

Well I am quite proud that I defended her right to act like a total idiot. Freedom is a wonderful gift given freely to all, including Nut Cases vacationing in Texas.

I see her lips moving, but I can't hear a damn thing she says. I exercised my freedom to hit the mute button.

Cool Cool Cool

Reasons the Wack-O near Waco is getting so much attention from the Biased Media: 1) its August in Texas meaning its too hot to "work" for a story Cool 2) You can't get a martini in dry Waco county Razz 3) the biggest thing in town is the Dr. Pepper Museum Very Happy and Sheehan is more the side show than the first bottle of Dr. Pepper Rolling Eyes 3) Branch Dividian effect Wink

The looney has left Texas to return home because her 74 year old mother had a stroke. I am sorry any time that I hear of such a tragedy, and I hope her mother is o.k., but I am glad that I may go a day without seeing her hideous mug on the tube. I also think it would be a good time for President Bush to visit her campsight...haha!

I'd have a stroke too, if my daughter was acting like that.

This woman is obviously a few cans shy of a six pack. From a conference call recently with reporters;

Quote:
Well I believe that my son was killed by the policies of George Bush, you know, that none of those kids should be in Iraq at all. You know, we shouldn't have been there in the first place. We shouldn't be staying there. And I feel like we have been, you know, we're over there and we need to come home. We need to let the people of Iraq handle their own business. We need to let them rebuild (unintelligible). We do not need a military presence in there to continue that at all.

The person who killed my son, I have no animosity for that person at all. You know, I many Iraqi mothers who have been destroyed by our invasion and occupation which is illegal and immoral what we are doing over there. I have no animosity towards that person. I don't believe that we should be (unintelligible).

Statement by Cindy Sheehan:

As you've probably heard by now, my sister and I left the other Gold Star mothers in Crawford last night, after our mother had a stroke. I plan on returning to Camp Casey very soon, but while I'm in Los Angeles please respect that my sister, brother and I are here focusing on our mother, while the moms in Crawford focus on Bush. The President is not off the hook.

More and more mothers come to Crawford daily with their stories of grief and hope, so we can prevent more moms from losing their children in a war based on lies.

Reports that I'll be holding any kind of media events or talking to the press in LA are false.

My heart is so grateful for the outpouring of support and love from my other Gold Star moms in Crawford and Americans across the country who have sent their best wishes for my mother's recovery.

From Newsmax:

The husband and son of Gold Star mom Cindy Sheehan are urging her to end her anti-war protest outside President Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch, saying she's doing a disservice to their family.

[/b]I don't think she's done the best for the family," Patrick Sheehan, 52, tells People Magazine. When we see Cindy talking about Casey, we all relive the loss." Even his brother, Andy, 21, doesn't agree with is mother's antics, telling People, I think she should come home."

Patrick explained,
"My kids and I feel like we've had two losses, Casey, and now our wife and mother. The kids are angry and lonely for her."

end quote

Hey, who knows this loon better than her family? They know that this is not about Casey. It is all about Cindy. Her 15 minutes of fame, that includes hob-nobbing with the rich and powerful. She writes for Huffington.com and on Michael Moore-on's web site. She sits with the likes of Joe Wilson. She defends the actions of the traitorous attorney, Lynn Stewart. What next? Is she going to become Hanoi Jane's roommate?
If this was a mom on the right, we would have the MSM digging into her personal affairs, finding out who is supporting her (since she has no job being fired from the HHS of her home town), and just what people she hangs around with. But nooooooo, not grieved Cindy Sheehan. She is the poster girl for the anti-war, hate Bush left wing MSM. But then, I forgot, the MSM doesn't report on anything that would be complimentary to our President so a mom on the right would get no air time or no press coverage at all.
Wonder how she will feel when they drop her? When she is no longer of any use to them and they have moved on to another loon? When the headlines about her serve no purpose but to wrap garbage and line the bottom of a parrokeets cage?
When SCOTUS is back in session, when the Robert's hearings begin and when the Pres returns to Washington, she's toast.

I suspect she was a "nobody" in high school. Now she's "somebody" which is something she doesn't have. Get a JOB.

This was posted elwhere on this site, but I think it is relevent to conversation about Cindy Al-Sheehani.

Thought you all might like to move the numbers in this lopsided poll. Right now it claims 94% think Bush lied.

Gold Star mom Cindy Sheehan

Please be aware that identifying Ms Sheehan as a “Gold Star Mother” is a deliberate attempt to give her ranting credibility. She is in no way connected to the American Gold Star Mothers group as is stated at their website:

Quote:
Cindy Sheehan is currently in the news. She and her organization have no connection whatever with American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. We are a 501 C(3) organization and, as such, do not engage in political activities. We do support our troops. After all, they are our children.

Quote:
What's the difference between gold star mothers and American Gold Star Mothers, Inc?

"Gold star mothers" is a term that came into general use with the creation of the service flags used to show that a family had a son in the service (a blue star) or a son that had died in the service (a gold star covering the blue star). Mothers of slain servicemen came to be known as gold star mothers. The phrase is sometimes capitalized but this is incorrect because it is not the proper name of any organization. The phrase is generic and, through customary usage has come to designate any mother whose child has been lost in war.

A group of gold star mothers met in 1928 and formed the organization American Gold Star Mothers, Inc (AGSM). AGSM is a private organization and you must apply for membership if you wish to join. AGSM is also a non-profit, 501 C(3), organization and as such cannot engage in political or lobbying activities. Our members may have their own views which they are free to express, but these opinions are not those of AGSM. The organization takes no position on political issues of the day but does support our military and has many activities that reflect that support.

There is more information on our history here.

We are not directly connected with any other organizations but we do communicate with similar organizations which share our purpose.

Personally, I feel it is a great disservice to try to link this woman to the American Gold Star Mothers Inc. group. She does not share their values and in my opinion, is not the least bit supportive of our troops or their mission.

I'll be a disssenter here. I think almost everyone on the conservative (sane) side of this has been snookered into venting their anger at the wrong target.

Cindy Sheehan is and was a news nobody. Her loss doesn't rate any more of a news story than about a column-inch anywhere but her home-town newspaper. Her "grief" (even if it were genuine) is not news either. And if either of these added up to national news then why aren't we hearing from any of the other families that have lost servicemen - and particularly the families that support the Iraq objectives? Who cares what her opinions are. They are shared by many of the left-wing nuts, and I'm sure there are worse; they, too, are not the stuff of national news!

No, what has made this whole circus news is that the media decided to fabricate a story and make her the news. Thus AP literally saturated their feeds over the first few days of this whole thing. This is both: 1) a perfect example of how MSM can create a news story out of something that is not, never has been, and shouldn't continue to be a news story, and 2) a perfect example of how the liberal press can create news to advance their own obvious bias.

Cindy Sheehan is not the problem; it's old irrelevant, agenda-oriented, Bush hating MSM that's the problem. Or does it go deeper than that?

If you've the stomach for it, I invite you to read these links to known, no-bones-about-it Communist/Socialist web pages regarding Cindy Sheehan. If you read these carefully you will find EXACTLY the same thoughts, the same objectives/sentiments, the same phrases, the same words in these articles as you will find in many of the MSM press releases. You can be your own judge of that statement:

From the Revolutionary Communist Party (Maoist): http://rwor.org/a/012/cindy-sheehan-crawford.htm

CPUSA:
http://www.pww.org/article/articleview/7543/1/282
http://www.pww.org/article/articleview/7567/1/282

Worker's World Party:

http://www.workers.org/2005/us/camp-casey-0825/
http://www.workers.org/2005/us/cartoon-0825/

Socialist Worker (UK)
http://www.socialistworker.co.uk/article.php4?article_id=7170

Socialist Worker (US)
http://www.socialistworker.org/

(These all came from a posting on Media Research Center's blog).

Anyone else see some remarkable similarities? Like, perhaps, the above sites had the same writers the MSM did, or at least that they coordinated. The interesting thing is that the above sites make no bones about who they are, unlike the MSM articles on the same subject - who hide behind a lot of smokescreen.

You can't swing an effective counter-punch if you can't clearly see the opponent.

Cindy Sheehan is a willing tool of the socialist left who agrees with their platform, I feel.

But, as predicited, another washed up has been chimes in, LOL.

Joan Baez Sings At War Protest

I wonder if she will sing Drug Store truck Drivin Man? Oh wait, there's no draft and Reagan is gone, she can't. Maybe she can get Hendrix to perform also? No, wait, he's gone onto that great protest in the sky. There's always Country Joe and the Fish and I'm sure Arlo Guthrie will show up and remind us how evil the draft is. Oh darn, there still isn't a draft for them to protest against. Laughing

Maybe the laws used to persecute Abortion Clinic Protesters should be used against them? Seems to me both enlistment and abortion are legally protected personal rights now.
