At the risk of pissing off everyone in this thread, I think y’all are unrealistic in your expectations of what BOR should say and/or how he should behave. His occasional negative comments regarding SBVT—like his 60 Minutes: “Awful … terrible … sad that this happens”—piss me off too, but I suspect it’s the game that BOR apparently feels he has to play to get the widest audience, and also to get Kerry on his show. And I’m stating to think he’ll actually be successful at getting Kerry on his show.

Hannity, Rush, etc. certainly will never get Kerry on their shows.

If/when BOR gets Kerry on, he probably won’t be hard enough on Kerry to satisfy most of us here—let’s face it, we’re all biased and despise Kerry. But I expect his interview will be good enough so that any undecideds with more than room temperature IQs may actually begin to see how empty Kerry is.

I expect that in his heart BOR knows full well that Kerry’s not a good guy. Part of his Godfather philosophy—keep friends close, but keep your enemas closer … or something like that.

I think the Swifties entire point could be boiled down to one word - honor.

As Ann Coulter so perceptively pointed out, it is NOT honorable to simply take a position exactly in the middle of the two sides, regardless of the facts of the matter - what BOR does self serving. The entire point of most of the posters on this thread is that "the game that BOR feels he has to play" is for BOR's benefit at his viewer expense. It is not an honorable thing for a 'journalist' to do, especially when he constantly says, 'we report, you decide'. Fine - then report everything dammit, not what you think is news.

BOR is not on my set anymore either, since he trashed the Swifties without even reading their book. Now THAT's a CBS method...Bill will fit right in over there.

Perhaps, but my own view is that if BOR ever convinces Kerry to do an interview, BOR will ultimately do Kerry more harm than good. Isn’t it fairly obvious that BOR likes Bush more than Kerry? Of course I could be wrong about all this; in which case I’ll deny I ever said any of it.

Yeah, what a joke - it prove$ why Bill is out there...at least Limbaugh makes it tasteful when he sells stuff and doesn't shove it in your face every day...notwithstanding all the other complaints we have about BOR cowtowing to the liberal media organs' party line...

Fox may keep him on as a second "Colmes" to maintain their "fair and balanced" mantra but the MSM sees him as "right wing" (ha!) & it seems he's going out of his way to "prove" he's not. Anyhow, IMHO "right wing" is a misnomer and an insult (it's also associated with "death squads in Central Am in the 80s for instance - whereas no one in media save Savage calls the lefties "Communists" which would be the equivalent baggage laden term for the left). As Rush would say to any liberal comer "Sure I'm on the right. I'm right and you're not and it drives you crazy." I suppose in the end, who cares - the leftists will brand us and we will brand them and then it comes down to ideas and deliverables - & conservatives will win every time on that basis.

Between that and your treatment of the Swift Boat Vets, I'm done with you O'Reilly."

Sounds "pithy" enough to me! Well done...

I believe one night last week, O'Reilly showed an old interview he did with Kerry, and he looked bad because it caught Kerry flip-flopping. But, I figured O'Reilly did it to bait Kerry to get on his show.

Also, O'Reilly was bloviating to someone about how he will be covering the debates and he doesn't want anyone to decide who to vote for on anything he might say.

What a joke! As if we are little children who can't make our own minds up.

I'm done with the Bloviator. Who needs that Bush interview. O'Reilly will probably hit him harder than he soft balled Michael Moron. I'm also sick of Greta too, blah, blah on Peterson case. Who cares any more. Joe S is the real deal right now on MSNBC. Maybe Joe could replace O'Reilly when BOR replaces Blather.

BOR mentioned today on radio that he also referred to President Bush as a Patriot, but of course 60 Minutes only aired his quote that Kerry was a Patriot.

When is that disgusting CBS going off the air? They just got caught red-handed being biased on the memogate. It doesn't stop them though, does it?

He can prove it by requesting what was edited and showing us all. I don't even care - he went there to be interviewed with his eyes very wide open.
