ROTC, No it is not perpetrated by the gaurds in this country, the convicts are the perptrators. As for your claim that it is on a MASS scale in Iraq, well I really doubt that. Everyone has reported that it is a few bad apples not a mass scale. Are you saying that all of our troops are animals by that characterization? I really don't think your accurate with that 70-90% thing. As I saw abuses by gaurds in our system I did report them, just as has been done in the Iraq case. I think everyone needs to understand the culture, thumbs up means the same as our middle finger, they welcome death it makes them a martyr. Humiliation is the only thing that will break them. Similar to our inmates, the best way to get them to talk is to give the general population the impression that they are a rat or sex offender. I could walk up to an inmate and just say thanks in front of his homies and that was enough to mark him. I didn't do that but I know of some that did. The same reason that Sadaam cut off the right hand of many, that means that they have to wipe their a** with the same hand that they eat with, in Islam you are dirty and an automatic outcast for that. That was the purpose.

I apologize; mass is too harsh a word. I should have used systemic. Not everyone was involved, but certainly a significant number were and still are involved.

As for the 70 to 90% number: This is what the RC reported they were told by officers involved in the prisons. You need to argue about that with the RC.

At the end, you make my point for me. If we believe the Iraqis being abuse are not human beings we can make comments such as "I think everyone needs to understand the culture, thumbs up means the same as our middle finger, they welcome death it makes them a martyr. Humiliation is the only thing that will break them." Do you really believe that the majority of the Iraqi prisoners were there are terrorists or militia even after the RC has stated they were told by US officers that they are not?

You demonize the Iraqis, making it easy to explain away our behavior.

No Rotc read the post I wrote right after I answered you, I have not seen anything that reflects that we have abused 70-90% of the Iraqi's. I disagree with POW's all together, Take no prisoners and let allah sort them out. You are arguing with someone who has been in that part of the world and currently has a son there now. Guess I just don't see the horror that you do. I could tell you what some of our past interogation tactics were but that would really get it stiring. The Vets know what I am saying. I don't agree with the raping, especially when it was done to our women over there.

Craig you silly dumbie, I think I read that you claimed to have been there around 1996 or 1998. A and B numbers were 1960's-1970's, C and D were the 1980's the we exhausted the E and H numbers by about 1993 and started the J numbers. By the rate that we were at with the 3 strikes law the longest the J numbers could have lasted would be about 1995 and that is a stretch. Good job on making those numbers up though, must have taken you hours. I noticed that you didn't respond until I gave you a hint. I feel the same as everyone else on this board, your a liar and an idiot.

So you don't really care why we are in Iraq; you just want to kill something. And we wonder why the Arab World has a problem with the US.
