It is the stated goal of radical Islam that the world be united under a single Fundamentalist Islamic rule.

This has profound consequences.

It means you cannot negotiate with these people.

It means that they want you dead for no other reason than you are free and you breathe.

It means that failing to grasp this basic concept is disqualification to lead this country.

This are points that need desparately to be posted within the general consciousness. The tendency is to view these people through Western eyes- eyes that assume that all people are inherently good and that just talking can repair the distances between us.

Wrong.

The alarm clock is ringing.

Navy_ - I am mortally afraid that JK would 'micro-manage' the crap out of any action at all. Remember LBJ and the three TV's in the oval office.

Some of the VV that I know piss and moan that they felt that each round had to be OK'd directly from the WH. N number of rounds equals X number of dead guys.

Left us totally screwed in the field from what I understand. But it is the thing that JK knows. But he would not run the 'war', oh no - JK in his wisdom would ask for advice and permission from the UN!

A forum that put Syria in charge of security and Saddam in charge of human rights. Can you say 'failed League of Nations'? The ongoing scandals surrounding the Terrorism for Oil program at the UN pretty much tell me that at least some of those guys are NOT on my side.

No thanks, I'll pass on the Kool-Aide, but you can send ammo.

Under the Koran (Korrupt) lying to non-Muslims is permissable, in fact lying to non-Muslims in order to for a Muslim or Islam to profit is actually considered a good thing.

So how can anyone from this religion be trusted if lying is not a sin as in Thou shall not bear false witness.

Sorry for any offended Muslim --- but you should see the double standard and total unacceptability of this behavior.

I wonder if Kerry recognizes that al quaeda takes comfort in his words. When he spoke of "cutting off ears" and other horrors, did the animals now doing these unspeakable things read his words? I wonder what they thought and how they will use those words.

I honestly think that Democrats really don't care what damage they are now doing to military morale or the war effort itself.

Had a sad encounter with a Libertarian, former JP and veteran of 3 years on DDG12. His position was that Bush had wantonly initiated a Crusade and the Crusaders of Urban the Second were awful and Palestine was muslim. The Crusaders were a nasty bunch and that's why Urban wanted an excuse to get them out of Europe. I pointed out that the Mohammed's spawn had taken Palestine from a Christian Roman Empire, conquered through Spain into France and were at the gates of Constantinople when Urban went on the counter attack.

He then went on to say the Brits had no right to give Palestine to the Jews. Presumably the arabs had the right to exterminate them and our intervention was the root cause of our problem. I noted that T E Lawrence wrote almost a century ago that the palestinians were the trailer trash, red headed step children of the arab world useful for argument but unworthy of real sympathy. I further argued that Balfour Declaration or no the Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Persians, Greeks and Romans had all done their best to eliminate jews from Palestine to bloody if ephemeral result.

He rambled on about how terrible were the 'Latin Kingdoms' in Palestine the nastiness of Richard Lionheart and that Sulieman was great. I conceded that Richard Couer de Lion was a jerk but held no Latin Kingdom and Sulieman was not liberating Byzantium but engaged in territorial aggrandizement.

All for naught. We may well be at the dawn of a new Crusade and since Beirut I'm not sure it's not a timely and needful thing.

We're not scared enough!

I don't think openfish meant we should fear the enemy because we shouldn't. We do need to fear what could result from Kerry and his crowd winning this election and putting their anti-war policies in place.

I don't mean be concerned.

I don't mean be outraged.

If you are not all of those there is something wrong with you.

I mean fear. Fear as you would the fear the Nazis wondering how could human beings do the things they did. Fear as you fear the Syrians who just used weapons of mass destruction in the Sudan as a test of their weapons(which they got from where I wonder?). Fear as you would the Iranians who are building neclear bombs to use on Israel.

Fear those who value nothing.

Take action on that fear. Do not live among those who have their heads in the sand who think that this is not armegeddon in the waiting.

I fear none of those things. I only fear those that would use whatever means necessary to persuade people to take no action against these things.
