That's one thing BOR, Carvelle and many others can't fathom. It's isn't a matter of politics or even Republican against Democrat. This is a very deeply seated personal matter between Vietnam veterans and John "F"in Kerry.
The DNC tries to tie Swift vets to Bush to discredit Bush, but his staying out of it and above it just keeps showing them wrong. Still, Carvelle just was just on BOR and BOR said that Bush wasn't connected to SBVT, since he asked him outright. Carvelle responded, "You can believe that if you want."
Like I said, they just don't get it, or maybe they do, but want to hide that it's a deeply personal matter between Kerry and veterans. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

Thank you. I could not have said it more eloquently. You get more with honey than vinagar. |

By keeping to the high road and letting the loony left wallow in the mud Bush not only retains dignity but even if by chance he loses the election, he ensures the republicans from losing the house anytime soon. I very much doubt these loony jackasses in the DNC would get re elected, in fact i think after this year, they will be all but through. A campaign of hate is not appreciated in this country. _________________ John Kerry, R.I.P. (Rot In Paris) |

I agree with most of the comments on this thread. But I also believe there is a political issue as well. John Kerry is attempting to become President of the United States. If this was just angry veterans trying to set the record straight, that could have been done years ago, or for that matter next year.
But we cannot afford to let this arrogant, sick minded, ideolog gain the Presidency. His charactor is fatally flawed. What the Swift Vets have brought out is, not only the history of Kerry, but the ongoing profile of a man who has had a life-long lust for power. One who's motives are hidden from Americans at large. He has demonstated a calculating nature that shows a willingness to do just about anything to attain power. And for what? Obviously tp change the face of this country into his perverted world image. Not me, I don't want to go there. No honest free thinking person would.
Sometimes (in my weaker moments) I almost wish Kerry would succeed, just so I could gloat as the very people who voted him into office cried mightily that better men and women than themselves did not save them from their own stupidity. Well I did say almost.
This is the role of the Swifties. To expose Kerry for what he is, and we all owe a debt of grattitude to them. Even those foolish enough to beliieve his lies. |

Yes, there are several political considerations.
The SBVFT must maintain independence from Bush and
vice-versa, due to:
- the law (BCFR), and due to the
- guilt-by-association smear favored by the Kerry Kamp, and
- to respect the views of any anti-Bush vets.
This is why obviously pro-Bush threads get moved to
geedunk, if not deleted entirely.
As a practical matter, having Kerry lose probably means
Bush wins, but there are vets who oppose Bush. They
might prefer that people either vote for a 3rd-party candidate,
or not vote at all, just don't vote for Kerry. |

I agree with you completely Boundless. This is about Kerry, not Bush. Everyone here has their own attitudes about Bush, but that is a discussion for another board. Even here in Geedunk there is only so much to say on other candidates.
There are however realities that parallel the effort to keep Kerry from becoming President. |

Speaking of THE interview with Dubya....WHEN IS IT SCHEDULED? I thought it was today. I'm guessing Bill is going to schedule it instead of his regular show.......probably Friday so he gets a 3 day weekend???? I hope I'm wrong. |
