Although this kind of blatant treason makes my blood boil, i've grown accustomed to the results. Whether or not there really is an investigation into it, it's "media speak" for "we're not covering it anymore".

Heres some examples of "investigations" or "ongoing investigations":
Pardongate
Sandy "stuffed my pants" Berger
Enron---whoops, Paul Rubin's involved, covered that up and hung someone else anyway.
Global Crossing, whoops, Terry McAuliff's involved
If I looked around a little, I could make this list a mile long.
