I believe the other panelist was Fred Barnes, editor of the Weekly Standard. He is quite level-headed.

Excellent, kudo's to Britt. Juan tried to hang but couldn't. Juan tried to explain the Cambodia Xmas as a simple mistake or oversight and Britt spanked him on that. Just one truth on this issue puts it in a must investigate status. The Cambodia lie is the key to the door, now they have to look deeper. They also dogged the big media corps. for ignoring this stuff. I will go to work tonight with a big smile on!! Semper Fi.

I always enjoy watching Brit Hume's Special Report because Hume always gets to the heart of the issues without all of the liberal spin.

Hey, everyone. This afternoon I received an email from a liberal supporter of John Kerry. The email was from factcheck.org and attempted to demonstrate that George Elliot's affidavit was "misleading."

I remember that a Boston Globe reporter did a "cut and paste" on George Elliot's comments from an interview.

But can anyone explain to me, step by step and in detail, what the George Elliot controversy was about? This way, I will be able to respond to this liberal who emailed me. He appears to be wavering and I need one more bullet of ammo to get him on our side.

I'd appreciate anyone who is knowledgable about this issue to post something on it.

When Juan Williams said "Let me give you a different world view", I didn't expect to get a view from another planet!

I agree with writing them to say thank you for speaking out with a
fair review on the entire situation.

I think thanks are a very important part of this campaign.
I will send one to anyone who speaks out, but will sometimes just write
to a nasty one! In a nice way, of course.
I have written him already. Wink

Mark,

Try this thread. Toward the beginning of it are some posts that should address what you asked.

Yes, the paid reporter and official author of John Kerry's campaign biography (and the Kerry/Edwards campaign as well, until it was exposed) wrote in the Boston Globe that George Elliott had retracted his previous opinion and now regretted that he had signed the initial affidavit.

The ink was barely dry on the Boston Globe before George Elliott issued another affidavit in which he denied that the Globe had represented his remarks accurately. He reiterated his support for the first affidavit he had signed.

There is more info here and on other threads in the same time frame.

xcorpsman-usn,

Mr. Williams frequently makes me mad.

For what it's worth, let me say "Thank you" to you and all of the Navy corpsmen who have worked so hard to save lives, and, especially with the Marines, risked their lives on a regular basis to do so.

Sincerely,

Scott
