I think this is not a productive topic. The oval office has had for some time a rug of the Presidential Seal. Both are images and not the true "Flag." We're geting a little too picky here.

I think it's despicable that anyone can walk on a representation of our flag.

It reminds me of that hotel in Baghdad where you had to walk on a mosaic of our President every time you exited or entered the building.

Like I said I wasn't trying to get anyone upset but I obviously have. My point being was that in my belief the flag wasn't put there to symbolize it being stepped on. Granted its typical of a Jackass (pun intended) to do something like that and if your one that has great respect for the flag then this can be viewed as very offensive. Sorry to offend everyone.

Put into perspective, John Kerry is running for President of the United States. If he has no more respect for the flag and no more control over his campaign than to allow this to happen multiple times and not put a stop to it or at least refrain from walking all over the flag, then he is, oh, there is a phrase I heard somewhere describing him, oh, yeah,

"Unfit For Command"
