Darn, I missed that. Purple hearts with band-aids, huh? Now
that's creative! |

Personally, I think Kerry was cringing listening to McCains comments. And what is up with Michael Moore at the RNC? What Einstein made THAT decision? God he makes me want to puke. He looked like a cow chewing cud when everyone was boo-ing him.

He is a USA TODAY writer for the convention. Ann Coulter was supposed to write for the democratic convention but they yanked her and said she was too right wing. So USA TODAY will have only Moore as their convention commentator. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

Hi My Friends,
I'm back.
Terry McAuliffe is a pissant. Looks like one. Acts like one.
Guliana was HOT. Boy howdy. I sure would like to see him on the ticket with Bush. Can you imagine him with Bush. Better, in 2008 taking on Hillary-ous Clinton.
McCain was good but Gulliana rocked that audience. I loved the two Americas thing. It's gonna be tough for pretty boy Edwards to seriously use that line again. Reminds me of a woman I heard on the radio, she said, "Two Americas? Fine. Just stay out of our side." I cannot believe that USA Today allowed that worthless piece of human garbage (Michael Moore) in the door. I was royally booed and laughed about it. I think his weird little mind enjoys the boos. It's like a game with him. He doesn't care who he hurts or what he does as long as he can create anger and disgust. It's almost an erotic thing with him.
Can't wait for Ahhhrrrnold to speak tomorrow.
I clearly credit the Swiftvet ads for making it possible for this convention to open on firm footing for the President. Those ads are hurting John Kerry. Can you even imagine what is going on in his house tonight??? I bet his phone lines are on fire. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

Geez they must be having fun at the convention!
|
Yeah I saw the crawl on that and my first thought was hmm cool it's the purple owie! |
I think it was bandaids with purple hearts on them. What a great idea! I am going to go draw some purple hearts on some bandaids and wear them everywhere! _________________ Misty

Perhaps they're going to feed him lots of candy and use him for a pinata to help get the Hispanic vote. _________________ "All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...they can't get away this time."

This is a salient point no doubt. The Swifites have done something noone ever in the history of politics have done.(disregard the formation of the US constitution) That is they stood on principle without regard. I have studied politics from the founding of our country and never with the amount of criticism that can be placed on the opportunist has anyone attacked the establishment and made the country better in the same way. This is the new media in one way. When you are honest and have a point it will be heard, but the lefties will come away with this election thinking you can win using the new media. They are dumb that way. What I take away from it is the swifites winning because of honor, discipline, and true perception!
The swifties are making me an idealist again at 34 _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

The Giuliani line when he totally ripped the needing of two Americas edwards mantra so that kerry would have one America to vote one way on an issue, and another America so he can vote the other way on the same issue WAS KILLER "OH MY GOD" PRICELESS!!! I couldn't stop clapping and laughing! He gave an AWESOME AMAZING SPEECH! And he carries a lot of weight with the independants and moderates. Lots of democrats will not sleep well and probably did nothing but yell and scream during the speeches!
the 9-11 victims families were so. Don't even know what to say. Real and touching and strong and really amazing.
It was amazing seeing the Iraqi woman and the speech she gave. I could hear in my head all the democrats screaming that an Iraqi was there talking about freedom in her country and how it was the greatest givt anyone could give to anyone else, and thanking America for that, and thanking the families of those killed in Iraq for their sacrifice to free her country and her people. THAT was such a class act and the thing that has been said by many Iraqis that the media hasn't reported. It was an amazing opening night. I really didn't think it would be THAT great. kerry is in trouble. It's just going to get better from there. Opening night is typically not very great. I remember the first night of the dem convention. Wasn't too much to talk about. Certainly nothing on par with tonight. |

I'm sorry I missed Ron Silver - his transcript is superb. Must've been a helluva great speech from a good American who's got everything to lose (as an actor) coming forward for our President like that.

It was just pretty damn great from my seat. I like Guliani more every time I see him. Now I think I love him. The two America's thingy was pure genius. As was McCain and his outstanding remarks about Moore. Even Moore appreciated the humor when he said it worked so good the first time he's just say it again. Classic!
Texas is pretty well represented tonight.

I should have mentioned Silver he was the warm up act and I must say he kicked ass. Without Ron Silver I doubt I would have been pumped the way I was.
I really respect him for being soo outspoken and then in time of attack (from being a liberal and becoming a conservative) coming to the other side. Some people might say he is doing that because his career is tanking but, people do not take career over principle. Too easy to see. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."

After watching tonights RNC speeches and music, something occurred to me in regards to the contrast between America's sense of Democracy and France's idea of Democracy.
Historically America recognizes a Power greater than the people, a Power that has endowed them with inalienable rights - what God grants, no group of humans can take away.
France's ideaology doesn't recognize a power greater than the people - the people plays the role of God. Secular Humanism/Socialism conveys that idea - but, what the people grant, the people can take away - with one swift vote.
The secular humanists consistently point out that we shouldn't be liberating people and giving American lives to impose democracy on people "over there" - we should be taking care of our own interests, etc. Doesn't this convey a "God-People" that is self-serving that is not interested in helping others?
I wonder, when Kerry mentions God - what's his idea of God? _________________ Know the difference between Politics and Mesmeratics - one embraces, propagates and promotes the truth, while the other manipulates it! |

Rover Cop I missed Ron Silvers, thanks for posting that. Didn't know he was a Republican so that's great! Course he's from Broadway too, so he has some class. Not from hollywood.
GenXr, thank you. I haven't had that much fun wathing TV in a WHILE. It was great tonight! Not over the top, not hype, not disrespectful. Just truth. SBVT did have a lot to do with paving the way to this take off I think. I definitely agree with the people here who've said that. I think SBVT has clearly been a spring board from which a very stirring powerful RNC will launch and help descimate john kerry.
Misty, man I saw the Purple Owies when they first came out and I didn't think of that! HAVE to do that for sure! EXCELLENT IDEA! We need to all make some Purple Owies and wear them! |
