Orange chicken with a side of rice in the butt! Now THAT'S funny! Oh, you guys are just too much. Have you ever noticed that conservatives have a much better sense of humor than leftists? Leftists are funny, but they don't mean to be.
That fake tan thing--have you guys ever tried it? Before my daughters wedding (when you start getting really caught up in the hysteria) she and I went. She wanted to get rid of her tan lines from the summer so they wouldn't show in the photographs (see, I told you--everyone gets slightly nuts) Anyway, it is disgusting. You smell--burnt...it's nasty.
Anyway, was anyone besides me struck by the contrasts between where President Bush and Kerry spent the weekend before the debates? President Bush went home to his ranch, where he probably spent the weekend clearing brush. Kerry goes to a spa <snicker> in Wisconsin where he evidently spent the weekend getting in touch with his feminine side. Kerry in a white terry robe, mongramed with a little "c" --kvetching to his manicurist about his toenail fungus <snicker> and his marriage: "I swear, if she wasn't RICH, I would just be so! out! of! there!!"
Doesn't Kerry have about 14 mansions or something? Why didn't he go to one of them? What the heqq is wrong with him?
Okay, okay, I admit: I have strong opinions about men. Okay, okay, I admit: I have strong opinions, period. But among my strong opinions regarding men are: Men clearing brush=good. Men going to spas=bad. Men wearing cowboy boots=good. Men wearing bracelets=bad. Men sporting fake tans=bad. Men with real tans from working their land=good. Men saying what they mean and meaning what they say=VERY good. Men saying what they think I want to hear and not even having a clue what that is=VERY bad. "Classically trained debaters"=bad. Straight shooters=good. Men who went to finishing school=yuk, bad. Men who grew up in Texas=yum, good. Men with just enough past bad boy in them to make them interesting=good. Men way too in touch with their feminine side=bad.
So I guess you get the picture. But just in case:
Kerry=bad.
Bush=good.

A caller phoned Laura Ingraham this morning and I didn't catch which radio station and announcer he heard this from but I thought it was great. It was in reference to Kerry's new fall color.
September---get your pumpkins
October-----Carve 'em all up
November---You Throw 'em out
I think that fits. |

blue, you mean there has been some doubt as to who I would vote for? I don't think there has been any doubt about who I would vote for in any given election since I was 4 years old, and started calling people "dirty liberals." Now, of course, I have grown and matured, and so I call them "dirty leftists" instead.
No, catching footballs with his eyes all scrunched up and protecting his, er, chest by turning away from the toss just doesn't do it for me, I am afraid. I grew up with three older brothers on a street where I was also the only girl and I played tackle football with them, always quarterback on offense, safety on defense-- until I realized a) it was starting to hurt, and b) there were much more effective ways of getting men to do my bidding that didn't involve calling plays and running the risk of getting hurt. True, someone might get hurt in the new game, but it wasn't going to be moi....

I think the tan is supposed to cover up his sweat!! He apparently has a "sweat" problem and had asked to have the temp in the debate room turned down to cover any "sweating" that might take place. LOL.....let's hope he melts right out of the chair and leaves nothing more than an orange puddle for the whole world to see..... |

Americans love self-deprecating humor from their leaders...kerry missed an obvious opportunity to make some good natured fun of himself, for which he would have gotten credit from all of us...but no...the campaign thought it was smarter to lie and to conspire to cover up the whole silly thing...how pathetic! |

Reputedly Nixon also had a sweating problem. According to an account I heard, Kennedy's folks found out and put this info to good use.
Before the Nixon-Kennedy debate, Bobby Kennedy reputedly found the thermostat in the debate venue about an hour before start and turned it up 15 degrees.
During the debate, Nixon - who if I remember was already looking somewhat the worse for wear due to recent knee injury and weight loss associated with same - sweated like a pig and looked generally like hell. In contrast, John Kennedy looked like, well, John Kennedy.
Radio listeners to the debate generally gave Nixon the nod. Television viewers, on the other hand, said Kennedy "won".
I wonder if Karl Rove & friends are reading this . . . . _________________ "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse."
