Never mind, kman has to stand on his head for awhile. JCBOSTON will tell you, SteveK. <snicker>

She said....well....you know....conservative stuff. She was on a FOX show today (Dayside?), and was wearing a SHORT leather-looking skirt. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh I believe she was saying something as well, but ogling and hearing seem to be mutually exclusive.

Hey JC: Help me out here and explain that Alpha thing to KM Very Happy That ought to lock this thread too.

Don't you have a kitchen to be in? Cool Please tell me again why I like strong women.

Kman

PS I see Martha showed up at the Big House today. Something strange though, here's this bazillionaire chick and she can't even afford to go the dentist. Seems she waited till today to get the no-charge check for cavities Shocked .

Kman, yes, I do have a kitchen, and it is stocked with excellent high end cookware. I hate to think I may damage a skillet when I smack you right in the head with it. Very Happy

You like strong women because they represent a challenge, and all you alpha dog, cro-mags love the hunt. True fact: men love the hunt more than the kill. Women's challenge: to be an always somewhat elusive prey.

Oh yes, yes, I know; I will not be asked to atend the annual NOW luncheon after that comment. That's okay, it is bad enough when men hit on me, never mind when it is women. <feel an edit coming, glancing nervously at the moderators who are generally not happy with me, even when I *try* to be good>

I have conflicted feelings about Martha's incarceration. On the one hand, she decorated the Clinton's "home" in NY, meaning she is a fellow beast, and as a former broker, she knew the SEC rules. On the other hand, she introduced a whole new generation to homemaking, and made it honorable again. (As if it wasn't always, but you know.) And she really did some amazing things in building her company, being one of the first people to capitalize on cross marketing. She really is a genius, but like many geniuses is blinded by her own ego.

What I can't believe about the Martha thing is the trivial dollar amount (to her) involved in the transactions. Shoot, if yer gonna break the law to make a buck, it should be BIG bucks. Dumb dumb dumb.

Back to the real stuff. Your skillet is no match for my "cro-mag" head. Funny, I always thought of myself as a Neanderthal. At least that's what others call me on political boards Smile.

As for us hunting, well acquiring that skill was borne out of necessity. You see it became clear very early on that SOMEONE HAD TO BE THE PROVIDER. I mean, how many pairs of shoes do you really need in a cave? Sheesh! Oh, that "excellent high end cookware" had no use in a cave either. Use a freeking pot. Now stop preening and go out there and gather something!

Kurt

PS You’re right about the hunt being a major—if not predominant--player in the whole experience. I’ve been fishing more lately, and believe me there is a hunt involved. Going out of a busy San Diego harbor at night, dodging cruise ships, military vessels and whatnot in the fog while going offshore 60-90 miles in Mexican waters is no picnic. Returning is quite often worse as it’s usually night (and foggy) again and you are dead tired.

Edit: Just realized the above isn't even the hunt. That's just getting to the fishing grounds and returning. The real hunt is at the grounds, and that's an adventure all its own.

What makes it worth it? It's all about the elusive tuna baby!
