Here is a great article and Question --IF you can get a bad conduct discharge if a person in the military "wore a ribbon he was not authorized to wear -- a military offense that could have led to a bad-conduct discharge from the service if true". then what happens if 5 medals for kerry are not true

Oops I forgot Kerry threw all his medals/ribbons away so I guess he wouldn't suffer any flack if any of his awards were worn illegally
Do you all get the sense here that the lefties and commies that support kerry are getting 'desperate'. They are making all kinds of off the wall claims and hoping something will stick to stop kerry's slide |

It's past desperate, they're looking like a drowning victim trying to grab a straw to stay afloat. Let's keep piling on with everything we've got, it would be a crime to let this guy make a comeback. We're winning, let's teach him a lesson to boot. Humiliation, baby. |

Once upon a time when a unit was awarded a unit citation, (MUC. PUC or NUC), all persons assigned to that command at the time were eligible to wear that award from that day forward. When a new member reported that new member was required to wear the unit ribbon only while attached to that command.
With 45 years with the Navy (31 active) as an administrative weenie, I never heard of anyone receiving a courts martial for wearing an awaard they didn't rate. |

That's the way things worked in the Air Force as well. |

My DDG flew NUC and MUC at the gaff and racked up extras every couple of years. We'ld have a little presentation ceremony from a 3 star or Squadron commander and all aboard for that particular deployment shared the award. But years later I couldn't get Navy records to confirm any of them. |
