USA Today story on Burkett and Lucy Ramirez
From the above link:
"Ramirez was worried about leaving forensic evidence on them that might lead back to her, Burkett said, acknowledging that the story sounded fantastic."

Could this Lucy Ramirez of Mission, TX (about 300 miles from the Houston rodeo where Burkett says he first got the phony docs) and director of Nuestra Clinica del Valle (or perhaps the Mission Family Health Center - not sure the chronology of these) & on the Board of Directors of The Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC) http://www.tachc.org/About/Welcome/Board.asp be the one that Burkett claims is his source for the documents? I wonder what it will be like for the next couple of weeks if you're named Lucy Ramirez and you live in TX?

& this link that shows a Lucy Ramirez referred to on Texas Democrat Congressman Ruben Hinojosa's website! "...all brought together by Ms. Ramirez. With her unique brand of diplomacy skills and fundraising ability, she could have a great career in politics!"

& another link from Hinojosa's website:

It sure will be interesting to see what Lucy Ramirez has to say about Burkett's revelations that she was involved in RAthERGATE!

I doubt if there is a real Lucy Ramirez. Burkett probably produced the documents (or directed someone to do so.) The burning of the originals and the mysterious Ramirez are just too tidy. A suit should probably be filed against Burkett to either get him to come clean about doing it or provide the real Ramirez.

Who the heck is Lucy Ramirez? Talk about passing the buck. I'm sure CBS forced this Burkett guy to take the fall or they'd sue his A** and now he blames someone else. Bottom line it was negligent and reckless, and if my law knowledge is correct, it becomes ILLEGAL to defame someone's character when the allegations are false. And to defame the President of United States, no less!

Yeah, maybe not, but why would he get soooo specific with a name, a Hispanic name...oh, there are real Lucy Ramirez's in Texas - at least two that showed up in a Google search - one with a picture (an older woman but I think she was in a different part of the state) and then this woman that heads up a clinic in Mission, TX and seems to be friends with the 15th District Democrat Congressman Hinojosa...

...all quite interesting even if it's just coincidental at this point...but, perhaps some aspiring investigative journalist will go track this down...could this Ramirez have been doing her "Dem" duty in trying to bring down the "evil" Bush? The Dems are looking desperate, stupid and even willing to commit dirty tricks that sent Nixon packing and Colson, Erlichman and Haldeman to the slammer!

That whole "Burning the originals" is SOOOOO lame.

For one thing, those "documents" were *AGED*. Someone went through some trouble to speckle, skew, and wrinkle and otherwise deliberately make them look OLD.

These people are so incompetent. God help us if they ever rise to positions of power.

Re: Lucy Ramirez.

I think Burkett has flown off his handle (again). As the guy in Blazing Saddles said, "That's the last act of a desperate man" Very Happy

Burkett is in Scortched Earth Mode right now. Almost feel sorry for him given his medical condition. HOWEVER, he brought this on himself.

If somehow Lucy Ramirez did have a hand in this, and I find it highly unlikely, then I can hear Ricky Ricardo yell "Llllluuuuucy! You a gonna get it now!".

Great part of this is that the bloggers are all over this thing. Won't die anytime soon. In football terms, we're halfway thru the 2nd quarter. Got a long ways to go still.

Now that the smoking gun points to an active dem it will be interesting to see if Burkett comes clean with yet another name.

Which other shoe will drop in c-BS RAthERGATE?

They'd certainly rather it go away - and that's exactly what may happen...hahaha...

Actually though - we need, the blogosphere needs, conservative opinion and organs everywhere need - to keep their feet to the fire and make sure the media reports on its own supposed "fairness" in this story...

It'll be a sight to behold![/b]

All this stuff about a mystery woman and secret meetings at a cattle show sound like the inventions of someone who's read one too many bad spy novels. I think it's all BS. Burkett either forged them himself or knows who did and is trying to cover for them.
