In his April 22, 1971 testimony in Congress KERRY admitted to meeting with the Vietnamese in Paris. It is known that had he met with the Vietnamese during a trip Kerry & his wife made to Paris after their marriage on May 23, 1970. What is not known if, in his April 1971 testimony he was referring to the May 1970 trip, or if there had been any other trips between those dates.

However, at least one other trip to Paris is identified in VVAW FBI files. According to the FBI extract shown here statements made by KERRY appear in the::
August 26,1971 issue of *The Denver Post*
Article is re National Student Association {NSA} Congress held at CSU, Fort Collins, Colorado. Article states JOHN KERRY, one of the leaders of the National VVAW spoke to the group August 25, 1971 , indicated he had just returned from Paris, France to talk to delegates at the Paris Peace talks, including those from North Vietnam. He indicated that as far as the North Vietnamese are concerned, “Everything is on the table,” and that if the United States would set a definite date for the withdrawal of troops, the prisoners would be released and negotiations could start. ~snip ~ Kerry stated that VVAW has chapters in every state and a membership of about 22,000. He stated that he was one of a six-member VVAW governing board.

Depending on Kerry’s definition of “just returned”, speculating that the trip was in August, or at least sometime in the Summer of 1971 . And per another thread here, he had a big press conference on July 21 - maybe that ties in to the trip.?
** Update: on Hannity Sept 21st John ONeill refers to a Kerry trip to Paris in July 1971, mentioning VVAW documents.

If you feel like reviewing that section 5 again, looking for more on Kerry and Paris that I may have missed - there is a notation on page 105 of some VVAW demonstrators arrested at the Paris Peace talks in July 1971 - no names. Hubbard was going over there frequently per the files Ive seen.

On my other FBI Extracts thread, in Nov'71 the Kansas City Meeting posting, there is a brief mention in one of the documents re Kerry/Hubbard possible trip to Paris, but I couldnt find any more on that, in that time frame.
