The Fraternal Order of Police has unanomously endorsed Bush for president. I listened to an interveiw on this subject. Apparently part of the process is sending a questionaire to both candidates to which they are asked to respond. Guess who answered the questionaire and who requested a reveiw of the questions before he should officially have to answer them? In the interveiw I heard it was pointed out that like a police investigator, what is not present can be as telling as what is present, and Kerry chose not to respond according to the rules. Just an FYI. _________________ God Bless America, and God Bless the Swiftees! |

Throughout his career, Mr. Kerry has refused to play by the rules, unlike the rest of us mortals who get nailed if we don't. Perhaps now his history is catching up with him. Let's take this as a good omen, but we have to keep working hard to ensure he comes out last on 2 November.'' |

Do they represent the whole US or is this a local group? There is a branch in Alexandria, VA that is demo all the way. I hate it, but they are the Police, need I say more. |

The way I understand it, they are the national Police union. The information or lack of it from the candidates election committees was disseminated from the highest police commissioner to the lowest officer nationwide. The members of the union then voted on whom to give their endorsement to by state. There is a representative for the FOP for each state, and it was their responsibility to pass on to the national headquarters whom their state had chosen to endorse. There's more information on their website, but this time it was unanomously GWB who the FOP endorsed. My understanding from the interveiw was that this is a rarity, if it has ever happened before at all. So, to answer your question, the FOP is the national Police union. _________________ God Bless America, and God Bless the Swiftees! |
