>>ZAHN: Jane, you have spent a number of years trying to put your controversial Vietnam past behind you. And yet for the last week or so, we have seen a tremendous amount of news coverage on George W. Bush's service in the national guard and questions being asked about John Kerry's service in Vietnam.

What does that tell us about how raw the feelings are to this day about the Vietnam War?

FONDA: It tells us that they're raw. It tells us that we have not healed. We need to heal from this wound, because it's very directly connected to what -- to the new wound. We haven't learned, you know, the lessons of Vietnam.

ZAHN: Jane, you have apologized to the families of Vietnam War vets, saying that maybe you have said some things that you wish you hadn't said along the way. Do you think you'll ever be able to satisfy people to this day who question what you did in Vietnam?

FONDA: No. There's a lot of people who -- who -- it's a cottage industry to hate me. And if they -- if they stop, that might mean that they'd have to look at some things that would question their own identity. And that's -- it's very hard for people to do. [END OF INTERVIEW]<<

There it is. If you hate Jane Fonda for what she did, then it is obviously your fault. That is the true refuge of the narcissist...you are sick, not me.

I remember when Hanoi Jane brought FTA to Okinawa (on her way over or way back from Hanoi, I'm not sure which). Our battalion had moved to Hansen from Schwab, so it had to be like very late 71 or early 72. I'm thinking it was AFTER Bob Hope was there, but, geeze, that was 30-oh-my-God years ago, and details are vague without looking up the history.

What I DO remember is that all E-5 and below were confined to camp. No liberty at all. Seems there was some concern about how the USMC might behave at the "event".

Since I fell into that "E-5 and below" range, I missed her.

Pity.

I do not believe people like her, narcissists, ever are truly sorry. I notice she says MAYBE Question she said some things wrong....there sure is something wrong and it is not with us, my bets are its wrong with "Honoi Jane" Exclamation

She calls it getting out the V vote. I guess you know what that stands for, trouble is many of these votes will be for Bush.

I sincerely hope that I get to meet Jane someday. My greeting will be "I know you; you're Jane Fonda! I've seen your picture in a urinal!"

I hope Jane does get out the "V" vote. But the vote she mobilizes is already mobilized, isn't it?

I think all she has is a V, I know for sure that she does not have a brain, much less a heart.

Maybe we need to get the urinal stickers reprinted and some made for Kerry, too...to distribute to the Legion and VFW posts. Anybody know where to grab the image?

What kind of thing is that? V power? She must have as much class as Tereezzza has. What would we think of a guy running around trying to draw the B vote? or maybe it would be the big D vote.. I think they should both go and rule over the AAA Hollywood Trailer Park.

ugh.

Well, she could certainly get out the "V C " vote -- the Communists owe her big time. Rolling Eyes
