My name is Jim. I am a retired Marine living in Texas and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom -- no heroics, I just did my duty.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone and thanks to all of the folks involved with the SwiftBoat Vets for Truth. I salute you for being loyal, patriotic Americans. Thanks for fighting this good fight as our brothers are engaged in even more important duties overseas.

As I was. I should have placed this post in the sticky topic "muster here".
I will square myself away asap.

I am getting ready to send my first political contribution to you folks.

Swiftboatvets are on their final and most important mission. I am going along for the ride!

No problem - we take all vets here, no matter through which hatch they arrive. Wink

You are quite correct - we are correlating on this site how well the anti-war activities of the 70's embedded themselves into our culture and how they are beginning to creep out and display themselves toward our current war and warriors.

We are part of not letting that happen, again.

As Robert Elder said in the first Swifts' press conference, "It is a fact that in the entire Vietnam War we did not lose one major battle. We lost the war at home... and at home, John Kerry was the Field General."

Devil Dog, front leaning rest position!

Now stay there until you realize that it don't matter what battles you fight for your country, the important thing is accomplishing the mission.

I'll bet, to a man, everybody who participates in these forums that have gone into or trained for combat watched you guys and were just as proud of you as anyone could be. It don't matter if you carried an M1, M14, M16 or whatever.

The mission is to prevent Kerry from becoming Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States. This is probably the most important battle we will have fought to date. Terrorists have declared war on us; they are well armed and well funded and very dangerous. They will kill our women and children, and are willing to die to accomplish this.

Do you want a puke like Kerry trying to stop them? This jerk thinks he can get France to do it for us. He got lost on his way to a Bob Hope show, and could have gotten himself and his entire crew killed in the process. Then to cover up his error, he claimed he was in Cambodia at the time.

Ok, on your feet!

Information is your weapon, now. Learn how to use it effectivly, and keep it clean.

If you haven't already, read Unit For Command. Participate in the forums, read the posts, and if you get a clear shot, post a reply or open a new topic. Convince as many voters as you can to not vote for Kerry. What he did does not deserve the reward he seeks.

Great post "jar head"...... Very Happy... Have the highest respect for the Corp.
We'd call in an F-4 on a sniper...
You guys would just "fix bayonets & charge" Shocked

Xmas of 68 Bob came to Cu Chi with Racquel Welsh, I got stuck on guard duty.
They later found out there were probably more VC watching the show from spider holes than there were GIs.

Thanks, "Dog Face."

You know why we prefer bayonets? Once you fire a round, it's gone. Not only are bayonets more fun to use, you can use them over and over again. No wasted ammo.

101st kicks ass too. I'm glad you guys are on our side!Wink

Welcome aboard.
No inter-service rivalry here.
We left all that on active duty.
Now we're all veterans and proud to count you among our numbers.
