How pathetic is the Kerry campaign? Well check what Terry McAuliffe sent out today!

Tonight, don't let George Bush's henchmen steal another victory. We need your online help immediately after the debate, so save this email, print it out, and have it ready with you as you watch the first Presidential debate tonight.

We all know what happened in 2000. Al Gore won the first debate on the issues, but Republicans stole the post-debate spin. We are not going to let that happen again, and you will play a big role.

Immediately after the debate, we need you to do three things: vote in online polls, write a letter to the editor, and call in to talk radio programs. Your 10 minutes of activism following the debate can make the difference.

Vote

National and local news organizations will be conducting online polls during and after the debate asking for readers' opinions. Look for online polls at these national news websites, and make sure to vote in every one of them:

• ABC News: [ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004S ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004S
• CBS News: [ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004T ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004T
• CNN: [ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004U ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004U
• Fox News: [ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004V ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004V
• MSNBC: [ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004W ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004W
• USA Today: [ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004X ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004X

And be sure to check the websites of your local newspapers and TV stations for online polls. It is crucial that you do this in the minutes immediately following the debate.

Write

Immediately after the debate, go online and write a letter to the editor of your local paper. If you feel John Kerry commanded the debate and had a clear plan for fixing the mess in Iraq, put it in your letter. If you feel George Bush dodged tough questions on Iraq and didn't level with voters, put it in your letter.

With just a few clicks, you can write your letter at our online media center:

[ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004Y ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004Y

Call

Do you listen to national or local call-in shows on the radio? How about on TV? Call them and let them know what you thought of John Kerry's plan to keep America secure and George Bush's continuing refusal to admit the truth about his record.

Here are some national shows to get you started. (All times are Eastern.)

• Air America (all day): 646-274-2346
• Alan Colmes (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.): 212-301-5900
• Ed Shultz (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.): 701-232-1525
• Bev Smith (7 p.m. to 10 p.m.): 412-325-4197
• Doug Stephen (5 a.m. 10 a.m.): 1-800-510-8255

Find shows in your area on our media website:

[ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004Z ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ30004Z

Your actions immediately after the debate tonight can help John Kerry win on November 2. Make your voice heard!

Don't forget to visit our 2004 Debate Center before, during, and after the debate for important information, including questions Bush must answer, a Bush/Kerry contrast on keeping America safe, and Bush Debate Bingo, a game you can play with friends during the debate.

[ http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ300050 ]http://redir.democrats.org/rdr/002UK00IZ300050

And after the debate, check your email for a very special message.

Thank you,

The DNC version of "heads I win, tails you lose!"

It is one thing to tell people to be politically active, but quite another to tell them what to vote! I seem to notice a certain "slant" in his national talk show recommendations!! LOL!

This advice I will take though:

I suggest we all take Mr. McAuliffe's advice!

It unreal just what a bunch of lemmings they are but they already have a "Letter to the editor" posted on : http://www.democrats.org/media/

here it is:

Quote:
In the first presidential debate, I was hoping to hear two things.

First, I wanted to hear John Kerry lay out his plans for Iraq and for winning the war on terror. I wasn't disappointed. Kerry staked out a strong plan to bring peace to Iraq and to refocus our efforts to fight terrorists around the world.

Second, I wanted to hear President Bush tell the truth about Iraq, but he refused. While his own intelligence services, military advisers, Republican colleagues, and even his Secretary of State have said that Iraq is in chaos, Bush still presents a version of Iraq seen through rose-colored glasses.

This debate made it clear: John Kerry is a leader we can trust to tell us the truth when it comes to our nation's security. George Bush has had his chance; I'm ready for a new direction.

also they have links setup to hits the polls right after the debate, I think we should hit those same polls ...

ROFL
If I belonged to a political party whose stragegists tried to command my enthusiastic participation with such lame, pitiful, dorky, phony, forced and contrived appeals, I would cancel my membership and erase all records that indicate I ever belonged. Then I'd get in the shower until my skin stopped crawling.

Actually, I think that alot of people have been turned off by that party, and are leaving. Having such a dispicable character representing them will certainly alienate some people. Having a dispicable character who maligned those who served bravely, in Vietnam and in Iraq, will alienate many!

do you mean their 'send to your local paper' page? I thought about that but then wonder if I can trust it..... I don't trust anything they say or do.... tho, I doubt they can 'review' every letter and change or delete anything... but think I'll pull up my own local paper!

I agree. I already picked out three papers in my area and wrote this letter. LMAO! Thanks Terry. Ha!

In the first presidential debate, I was hoping to hear two things.

First, I wanted to hear John Kerry lay out his plans for Iraq and for winning the war on terror. I was completely disappointed. Kerry has no plan whatsoever to bring peace to Iraq or to fight terrorists around the world. I had extreme trouble trying to understand how he could stand for something completely different today than he did just a couple of weeks ago.

Second, I wanted to hear President Bush tell the truth about Iraq, and he did. He understands that we are there to win, something John Kerry apparently has no concept of.

This debate made it clear: John Kerry is not a leader we can trust to tell us the truth when it comes to our nation's security. He will say or do anything to win this election, including disparage our allies and place our troops in grave danger. He hasn't changed one iota since 1971 when he was busy lying to Congress about our armed services. George Bush made it clear that he is the leader we need in these difficult times. I'm voting for George Bush.

Aw, 8Day, you beat me to it....

In the first presidential debate, I was hoping to hear two things.

First, I wanted to hear President Bush lay out his plans for Iraq and for winning the war on terror. I wasn't disappointed. The President was consistent with his strong plan to WIN the war in Iraq and continue to fight terrorists around the world.

Second, I wanted to hear John Kerry tell the truth about his position in Iraq, but he refused. While his own political handlers and advisers have said that his campaign is in chaos, Kerry presents still another version of how he will cut and run from Iraq. I'm more confused by Kerry than ever

This debate made it clear: President Bush is a leader we can trust to tell us the truth when it comes to our nation's security. John Kerry has had many chances; I'm voting for George Bush.

Yeap, right after the election this soon to be former democrat will be reregistering. I came close the last election. With them running kerry and now in my home state they are running a little nit wit for Senator who is doing everything but bowing down and kissing kerry's feet, I'm out of that stink pit.
