He is in the fifth grade and brought home a paper that we were supposed to discuss as a family. It is titled Decision 2004, the road to the election. On one side it depicted President Bush, with his strong points and weak points. Of course there were many more weak points and all were exactly the DNC talking points to perfection. On the otherside it depicted Kerry and his strong points and also his weak points, his strong points were much greater than his weak points. It lead off that he is a decorated war hero, advocate for Veterans rights etc. Then it commended him for his active roll in VVAW as a leader. It also commended his Senate voting record. Now you might have guessed that I blew a gasket, all my son said is "I would hate to be my teacher tomorrow". I responded on that paper to each and every point on both sides, I asked him to read the 14th amendment of the Constitution, and clearly stated how disgusted I am that he would try to brainwash my kids with DNC propaganda. I put my name, phone # and asked him to call this 8 year Veteran of the USMC and discuss the paper with me. Any bets on a return call? I also sent the information to Sean Hanity along with the teachers name , school and phone number. He will be in for a lower GI first thing in the morning, Semper Fi.

Make a formal complaint to your local Board of Education. Liberals and socialists have been teaching and indoctrinating our youth for way too long and they must be held accountable.

Be ready, though. I complained about a leftist counselor at my former step-kids school and was answered with a complaint to CPS about abuse, that went nowhere. Seems they feel they shouldn't be held accountable.

Marine4life,

Given your experience, including your time on this site, you ought to be able to debunk any "dubious" items in either list. I'd recommend that you do so, point by point, and send it as a letter to the school Principal, as well as the members of your local School Board.

Make it clear that invalid plusses or minuses are no more worthy of discussion than CBS' forged documents.

Best of luck.

Lew I will go directly to the source first, then to the big dogs. I tangled with them about 3 months ago and sent them with their tail tucked. That is why I sent the info to Sean Hannity, I hope he calls and asks questions. It would be simple enough to prove my case since all of the DNC talking points are proven false along with Kerry's war hero status. I haven't even started on 1971 yet. After my last bought with the school admin I have their complete and undivided attention, especially when the President of the State Board of Education started asking questions to the District Superintendent. I also offered to do a debate with anyone who believes the paper as truth, that would be fun to dismantle them infront of the student body. I don't have a problem with them discussing the election and the candidates, just the bias DNC party lines. Semper Fi.

Actually it could be a good thing for your son to encounter. You have the
opportunity to educate your kid on how to recognize the teacher's bias.
Unfornately this will not be the first teacher he will run into who has a hidden agenda to sway kids to their way of thinking. If your kid disputes what the teacher says about Kerry and gets a low grade you can use this
as proof to show the teacher is willing to be punitive if a kid rejects the teacher's propaganda.

I will take your advice Scott, only one change, I think I will do it in a letter to the editor naming the school. I think that will bring more heat when other parents get involved that might not know otherwise. I am sure that a phone call and a meeting will follow an ad of that nature. Public exposure to this will get a much faster response. I will keep you posted, Semper Fi.

Just as I was explaining it to my kid guess what happened, the new ad came on and I made him watch it then read the paper. He just looked at me and said Dad this paper is a bunch of lies!! He is ready for battle tomorrow, the word treason stuck in his head when he heard the narrator say that Kerry betrayed his country. He is just as hardheaded as I am and I pitty the teacher when he has to deal with him then me. I will be present when they discuss that paper in the classroom with my tape recorder. Semper Fi.

I would also suggest you contact the principal and school board members. Also, talk to other parents, especially ones who may be on your side and ask them to express their feelings as well. Pray Bush wins so hopefully everyone can have vouchers and get their kids education from where they wish to. EEWWWWWWWWW this stuff ticks me off.

You all can give a prayer of thanks, especially the moderators cause I just deleted a whole bunch more I wrote, going off on a tangent about the schools:)

Give 'em Hell!

But I know many people that use these false statements to bolster their positions and to make their own arguments. Those people will never let the truth get in the way of their hatred. Part of the problem is that many are teachers and pass this bias to our children.

My daughter came home from college and told me how Bush was the real enemy pointing to arguments made by one of her professors as proof. When I asked her about the details of his evil deeds, she couldn't pinpoint one exactly (except for the claims of the illegal war). I then asked her if she knew anything about Kerry's deeds and she said they were never discussed. I have since pointed out many and places to check out the truth. I told her to look at both sides and get past the talking points to the evidence. I have not heard from her again on the subject but she is so busy with school and social life (as is 90% of kids) that she really does not have time to do anything but listen to the talking heads and her left-wing instructors. Any question that the media bias shows large numbers of youngsters favoring the left? That is the group they can most easily persuade.

She had also never heard of the Swifties other than to say they were an extreme right wing group. I think that is exactly as those people want.

Yes, it is amazing how many people are deluded by the Kerry. Any real examination proves how weak their points are or how outrageous and baseless their accusations are. The democratic parties strategy is to just claim things without backing them up, because most of their constituency don't have the time or brains to look deeper. Smear and go on and pretend that the issues have been addressed already.
College professors are traditionally very liberal, which is surprising considering that you would think they would have enough intelligence to spot fallacies in argument or to see their own bias.
I generally face my co-workers, by saying ok. Let's look at a point at a time that you have against Bush. Or lets take a point about Kerry and look at all sides of a single issue. This generally helps win people over or make them doubt themselves.

I'm so glad to hear / see (I'm reading) parents keeping track of what their kids are learning in school. I've been thinking about this for several years... wondering what are kids learning in history and do they even learn geography at all? My kids are in their 30's (oh good grief! my daughter says she is still 21 and her brother says he is a yr younger thqn she is); I think it is very scarey what our kids are learning today in public schools and in colleges across the country....I'd be sitting in on their college classes if they were in college today! Think I better call my daughter and remind her to check on her son's classes.

.

and that's their plan.... it started when ? back in the sixties? and little by little, as that group of kids grew up and became parents... with a little less strength in values to pass on... they added a little more propaganda... and of course, took prayer out of school.... that helped them a lot... then those kids grew up ... with more propaganda in their brains and a little less in the values area... and more smut etc and propaganda on tv.... etc, etc, etc.... and here we are .... a bunch of these kids' kids are grown up and teaching a new crop or in office somewhere making bad laws etc aand lying to the Ameican people.... about half of which don't have any COMMON SENSE ! a degree isn't much good without common sense.

They are lemmings, that either can't think for themselves and are too busy to research things on their own... Or they are just so full of hate that they let that cloud their judgement.

The main problem is that our government allows way too much slander, innuendo, false accusations, lies (Michael Moores movies), and other propaganda to go unpunished. I think lawyers should have sued him and then more of his points would have been cross examined. By not doing so... many stupid believe that it is admission that it has some truth.

My problem, is if someone sees a movie knowing it has inaccuracies or purposeful lies, and tries to pull some meaningful information out of it then they have no brains or logic. It's like saying the Rather memos contents have meaning.
