Hi HG:
Thank you! This is an excellent article. A real good overview of our "main steam media" and right on the money where the commentary on John Kerry is concerned! And from a Brit too. For an internationalist like Kerry it’s probably an especially tough sting. . .
I can't much stomach even the sight of James Carville, so I wasn't surprised at his comments, or any of the others from that crowd of arrogant snits.
I haven't seen the interviews but have followed the stories. Truth to tell, I admire John O'Neill. He's got some sand in him to be sure. Good for him. Well done.
But this article really is good.
“Since I'm on an alliterative roll, let me add that he's too stupid to be President. What sort of idiot would make the centrepiece of his presidential campaign four months of proud service in a war he's best known for opposing?”
Too good!
or
"How cocooned from reality do you have to be to think you can transform one of the most divisive periods in American history – in which you were largely responsible for much of the divisiveness – into a sappy, happy-clappy, soft-focus patriotic blur without anybody objecting? Most Vietnam veterans of my acquaintance loathe John Kerry, and, if he wasn't aware of that, he's too out of it to be President. . . And even if he'd never slimed his comrades, there's something ridiculous about a fellow with four months in Vietnam running as Ike, the Duke of Wellington and Alexander the Great rolled into one. [emphasis mine] On Sunday, after calling on the Senator to apologise to the 2.5 million veterans he slandered, Bob Dole couldn't resist chipping in his own view of Kerry's wounds. . . But, more significantly, Dole prizes bipartisan Senatorial chumminess over almost everything, and my guess is he wouldn't be slamming Kerry if he weren't so revolted by the unseemly showboating of this campaign. If Vietnam vets loathe him, World War Two vets seem to think he's a buffoon. Short of reversing over the last 128-year-old Spanish-American War veteran in the retirement home parking lot, it's hard to see how Kerry could more comprehensively diminish his military support. . . .”
This is another obvious approach really. Ridicule and laugh the fool out of contention.
PS. If you wern't aware, then you can make a direct link out if by highlighting the web address and selected URL from the menu. I just learned this myself not long ago.

You have just got to love Mark Steyn, to the point and good humor to boot.
The guy is a fricking genius as far as I am concerned, I can never get enough of his writing. |

I missed the debate , because of what I thought would happen ! An it did happen ! ,
I mentioned it to an old vet from the Korean war "The Forgotten War "
He said , and I can't quote him exact . Here the gist of it ,
Do you really think any intelligent American is going to base their voting decision a one hour tv debate ? Its a slam the other guy , show .
He is a retired autoworker , a uniom menber .
He said Kerry is slick , and polished .
Bush was nervous and stumbled somewhat .
His message was simple , American first , defend the country .
All the other crap is secondary . Kerry , was just to slick and is not the type to lead us through some very tough times ahead .
As 61 yr old grandfather and born in 1943 , like Kerry , I just don't trust him I agreed , he's slick Johnny
The Prussian Army in the 19th centurey , when commisiong new junior officers , gave each one a sword , engraved on that sword's blade was this
"DEPTH NOT SURFACE " . Mr Kerry has no depth !
Prussian Army was the antecedent of the German Army .
So don't Don't give up the Ship " . Oliver Hazard Perry , I think made that quote during battle of Lake Erie War of 1812
God save the republic from the liberal democratic socialists |

I've enjoyed and learned from a number of your posts, and now its time for some positive payback. Mark Steyn is not a Brit but a Canadian. And his columns are regularly carried by the Chicago Sun-Times and Jewish World Review. _________________ Hating John Kerry continuously since 1971.

Mark Steyn is a Canadian that lives in New Hampshire.
He has his act together I think.
Who in their right mind would want to live in Canada? |
