This is a snippet from Al-Zajeera's website written by James Zogby,
who happens to be the brother of John Zogby of the Zogby International
Poll. For those of you who still think the polls are truthful, here is the pollster's brother, who is a leader in the Arab-American world, a staunch
Democrat, predicting exactly what the polls are saying. Amazingly enough the big news story of today was that the Arab-American vote was going
to swing to Kerry because of a "poll".
From Al-Jazeera -www.aljazeerah.info/ - 90k -
After the debate: The race begins By James J. Zogby
Democrats know how important this post-event effort can be. While the full effect of the debate has not yet registered, in all probability, next week's polls should show Kerry having solidified and strengthened his Democratic support base and having won over some undecided voters. October will, therefore, begin with the race most likely tied.
Dr. James J. Zogby, President of the Arab American Institute

It doesn't matter what the national polls show. What is much more
important are the state by state polls. Bush currently has a lead in
about 30 states whereas Kerry is ahead in only 15 or 16, two of
which are California and New York (unfortunately). If the state by
state polls stay that way, Kerry is a dead duck! I just heard Alan
on H&C bragging that Kerry has now retaken the lead in New Jersey
after it had been tied for the past few weeks. Who is he kidding?
New Jersey???? Kerry should have been so far ahead in New Jersey
that Bush would not have been able to come close to tying the race
since New Jersey is such a heavily democratic state!
Speaking of John Zogby, I think that his polling since the 2000 election
has been very biased against Bush. He had been saying since April
that the race was Kerry's to lose - up until the Swifties and the RNC
turned the race around. Since he is Arabic, he is very likely anti-Bush
like many of the American Muslims are since 9-11 and the war which
is bound to affect his ability to be a reliable polster. _________________ Susan R. Morton |

The Arab American Institute - good heavens! Just the people I want on MY side in the war on terror. Oh yah....
No wonder Zogby's polls are so skewed against Bush. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

I'm not buying the Arab-Americans are all for Kerry spin, which
is exactly what the spinsters want the Arab-Americans who are not
for Kerry to fall for.
It's the lemming theory among campaign strategists, they believe,
and it could be true, that some sectors of the electorate base their
vote on who is the most popular in the polls. So if a poll, just so happens to find a candidate ahead, that could pull in alot of votes. Maybe it should be called the gullible vote. As with everything else about this election,
the polls need to be exposed as for what they really are, people willing
to put out false information in the hopes of swaying the vote. |
