Thanks, directorblue...

That is a great article, and everyone should read it!

Keep your heads down and your powder dry, boys...

It's gonna be tough...

But we are tougher!

As a lot of you know, I have been down for the past few days. It's just my opinion, but Bush doesn't have much momentum right now. Having said that, the linked article confirmed a general feeling that I have had this year.

I really think the Republican turnout will be better than expected. The final results from 2002 back that up, but that was an off-year election. The basis for my opinion comes from primary results and ballot initiatives this year.

First, Tom Colburn won handily in Oklahoma despite narrow poll
predictions. Second, we were lead to believe that Mel Martinez was neck and neck yet he won going away. Third, the ballot measures in Missouri and Louisiana won hands down. They outperformed poll predictions greatly.

While I have no proof, I think these outperformers show a certain group of people are very motivated to vote. In all these examples, you can be sure it's not moderates and independents. It's the conservatives! Maybe those four million that didn't vote last time really are going to show up this time!

I'm sure I'll continue to ebb and flow with the polls. But just remember, I'm one of the good guys. I want Bush to win and I think Bush will win. Still, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

Whacker, you're not an AWACS guy are you?

If so, that explains your pessimism... Laughing

Hang in there, brother!

Don't fall into the trap the media is spinning, it is about keeping people like you from going to the polls!

The more dejected you feel, the better they feel! And what's more is that they know Kerry is a crappy candidate!

On voting day grab some of your buddies, neighbors, grannies and WWII vets in the neighborhood, load them up in the van (rent one if you have to), and go make your voice heard!

That's the best a citizen can do!
