Edwards is now pulling out the pscho-babble to criticize President Bush. Exactly what speech would Edwards like Bush to make?

"I have made a horrible mistake. Over a thousand of our finest have made the ultimate sacrifice because I have stubbornly pursued the wrong war, in the wrong place at the wrong time. "

"As my esteemed opponents have pointed out, I should have engaged in a 'man to man' confrontation with the esteemed leader of N. Korea. I am sure that if we had to go to war with Mr. Kim, they would have been completely supportive of this 'right war'."

"And ditto for Iran and Saudia Arabia. They have pointed out that the danger and treachery of these counties surpases Iraq". Surely they would support military solutions for these situations."

Today, we are pulling out of Iraq, and will be engaging in "right" wars Iran, Korea and Saudi Arabia."

The Malaise Mongers are enraged when anyone refuses to acknowledge their relative inadequacy. "Look how awful your life is. Look how incompetent you are to manage your lives. Just shows how much you need me."

It looks like mental abuse on a national scale. We are flirting with these new boyfriends who are so attractive to the weak among us because they want to marry us even though they are obviously so far superior to us.

They constantly beat us and tell us how inadequate and unattractive we are. Then they tell us how everything will be ideal once we get married.

Some among us want to believe that this relationship will finally bring us the status and respect they crave. But we won't be able to live up to the abusers' standards of perfection. Nothing we do will ever be good enough. Sure, they've been beating us, but we're supposed to believe that if we just correct our failings, they won't do it again. But they'll continue to degrade us and demoralize us until we are convinced that if it wasn't for the libs, we'd be right back in the gutter where they found us. We'll be abused until we become utterly dependent on them (and grateful) for our very existence. Then, because their hate is insatiable, they'll beat us to death.
Meanwhile they'll convince us that if we leave our abusers, we'll wish we didn't. They'll continue to separate us from anyone who might advise us to make the break. The media won't whisper it; the educators won't report the abuse, even though some suspect it. Our abusers have friends in high places to help keep them from being exposed.

Just like abusers, they know who to target, and the potential victims flock to them. They fear and hate the ones who see through them and aren't having it. They boast about the superior qualities they want to be seen as having, and sneer at those who show evidence of actually possessing them.
As always, it's frustrating for those who aren't inclined to be subjugated to watch others clamor for it and be unable to dissuade them.
