This site expresses modern conservatism so well. The man is a master with words.
His essays are long, but well worth the read, and you will be able to skewer libs when armed with his insight.
here is an excerpt:
And we both want to make sure that [9/11] – or worse – does not happen again.
We don’t want it to happen again.
We want to deter it from happening again.
And all of this rage and fury and spitting and tearing up of signs, all of these insults and spinmeisters and forgeries and all the rest, seem to come down to the fact that about half the country thinks you deter this sort of thing by being nice, while the other half thinks you deter this by being mean.
It’s really just that simple...
It all comes down to carrots (liberals) or sticks (conservatives). By the way: if you’re in a rush and need to run, here’s the spoiler: You can offer a carrot. Not everybody likes carrots. Some people may hate your carrot. Your carrot may offend people who worship the rutabaga. But no one likes being poked in the eye with a stick. That’s universal.

Good article, but I think those behind the attacks and blatant lies are not just "of a different opinion"--I believe that many of them actually hate the US and hate the President for insisting she be a sovereign nation, rather than a toadying non-starter like most of old Europe.
Those who have invested the most in defeating George Bush, like Soros, have much to gain by seeing the US weakened. They are internationalists, who want nothing to stand in the way of their financial domination. Kerry is their puppet.
If you want to know what they are thinking and motivated by, all one has to do is listen to what they accuse the President of doing.
Halliburton? Please! How about sucking up to the French when the shamelessly flaunted the Iraq sanctions? |
