My friends son B is a proud member of the Virginia National Guard, he was home recently for a visit. B had been in Iraq for over a year, and now he is back over there for another tour.

Quote:
After my return from leave I have once again jumped right back into the saddle. I would like to thank everyone who took the time out of their day or evening to get together with me while I was home. I know I wasn't able to see all of you, but at least had the opportunity to chat with you briefly on the phone. I cannot thank you all enough for your support and prayers.

Things are plugging along as usual, there have been an increase in attacks, and they are happening all over the country. On another note, I have continued to run into just as many thankful people as before. I find the majority of them are the elders and the young children. The elders lived through the former regime and know what it was like when Iraq was prosperous. The children have been taken care of by the U.S. soldiers and are beginning to see changes. As I see these two age groups, it is clearly evident that our reason for ousting Saddam Hussein is not purely for WMD, but to restore a once prosperous nation.

Many of the critics continue to attack our Commander In Chief for his invasion of Iraq. If there were no WMD to begin with, the tyrant himself needed to be relieved regardless. We are here to help restore a nation of people just like you and I. Please continue your support and prayers and I look for ward to seeing all of you in the months to come.

God bless the parents who raise these fine young men and women...
