Everyone knows that John Kerry was in Vietnam, right? But it seems that the Kerry that returned from Vietnam is not the same one who is running today for President. Doppleganger or political expedience, you make the call...
In response to the negative reaction to the crass "entertainment" spectacle that occurred at a Kerry/Edwards fundraiser last week a Kerry spokesman said the following: "Performers have a right to speak their minds even when we don't agree with everything they say. That's the freedom John Kerry put his life on the line to defend"
Wait... Kerry now believes we were in Vietnam defending freedom?
It has always been the conservative view that Vietnam was an important battle in the Cold War against totalitarianism, but the liberal view, up until just this week apparently, has been that Vietnam was a needless waste of human life, just bad karma, and it certainly wasn't about defending the freedom of performers to speak their minds.
How do we know this? Lets let John Kerry's 1971 Congressional testimony spell it out: "...to attempt to justify the loss of one American life in Vietnam...by linking such loss to the preservation of freedom...is to us the height of criminal hypocrisy..."
So there you have it, part-time Senator and full-time Presidential Candidate John F. Kerry is now a criminal hypocrite....his words not mine.
So was he being disingenuous then, or is he being disingenuous now? _________________ On Sale! Order in lots of 100 now at velero@rcn.com Free for the cost of shipping All profits (if any, especially now) go to Swiftvets. The author of "Sink Kerry Swiftly" ---ASPB |

Both, he couldn't tell the truth if it slapped him in the face. My dad said it best, he would tell a lie when the truth would fit better.
