Wally626,
I'm sure some of the Swiftees will come on here and assist you far better than I could! However, it is my understanding from listening to my husband that the message was being sent from the USS CYPRESS, the Coast Guard Cutter.

That reads:
FM PT CYPRESS
ZEN/CTG 115.4 was CDR Lonsdale at An Thoi

The way I read this message, PCF 3 had no communications abilility and that's why she didn't respond to their signals.

There is a thread here much earlier where some folks were explaining the message traffic, but I can not find it now!

Good luck!

ashter,
Thanks for the comment! Have you been on it tonight? I have had a report from another forum member that they could not view either the documents or the pdf files. Would appreciate hearing if you were on it tonight.

Yes, I was on it tonight and had no problems viewing the pdf files. In fact, they were pretty clear.

I was just curious how long the files are going to be up...I was going to download them when I find the time, before they go down the memory hole.

As long as SBD is willing to host us, the site will be up for research. After things quiet down, we plan to return to the Archives and continue the search for everyone!

I still have files to upload, believe it or not!! We have had some problems in that some of them would not load properly, but the webmaster is working on the problem and fixing the ones that are a problem.

We have a new category now called ARCHIVES LIST. This is a listing of all documents so you can arrange by topic, description, etc. and then click on the link which will take you right to the document.

I have no plans to take the site down. I have offered to host them for as long as God permits me to do so. This is the least I can do as a Thank You to all the Swift Vets who not only gave me an education about Vietnam, but helped reelect President Bush and expose Kerry as a traitor.

Thanks,

SBD

Thanks SBD

Hosting the site has given all of us an opportunity to get at the truth. You've done a great service for the SBVT and the country. Although the objective of the SBVT was to defeat John Kerry, the degree to which the media attacked the SBVT and supported Kerry's lies shows that another task is just as important. That task is the documentation of Kerry's record to the extent that even some of the MSM will accept the truth. That task will take a lot of research and this site will be an important part of that effort.

SBD is a true patriot!! I have enjoyed working with him and we will continue to add new material as it comes available. I agree with you, Rifleman that this site is an excellent source for research in the actual records.

SBD and Navy wife - thank you so much! I haven't had a chance to look at this until now and -- my goodness! Very Happy There's nothing better than a well-organized research site -- except maybe a BEAUTIFULLY organized research site...it's a joy to be there and I am grateful -- Thank you again.
