I was thinking today of how much I admired Mr. O'Neill for rising from
his hospital bed (after donating a kidney to his wife) last January and
undertaking to be the out front leader of "Swift Boat Veterans for
Truth". I decided I should write him a personal letter to just say "Thank
You". I found his office address through a "Google" search and sent
a letter (see below). I thought others might consider doing the same.

Dear Mr. O'Neill

I am writing to say thank you for leading the fight of "Swift Boat
Veterans & POWs for Truth" to expose the lack of character of Pres.
Candidate John Kerry. I am proud, as a veteran of WW II, Korea, and
the earlly days of the Vietnam War, to join you in this effort. Your
bravery (again) in taking on this task and joining Adm. Hoffman and
other Swift Boat & POW Veterans to expose the lack of character of Sen.
Kerry is much admired by this veteran. I am happy that, although 77
and on a small fixed income, I was able, due to a recent windfall, to assist
this effort with donations totaling $2500 (to date). This is far, far more
involvement than I have ever undertaken in an election campaign but I
am terrified at the thought of this cad becoming our Commander in Chief.
Once again, THANK YOU for undertaking this noble effort at, what I am
sure, must be a great personal cost to you and the others behind this
marvelous effort. Keep up the good work and I will do my small bit to
support you all.
