Remember the scene in "Demetrius and the Gladiators" in which the megalomaniac Roman Emperor Caligula, having obtained the robe of Jesus, has a prisoner killed and then commands, "Rise! By the power of this robe, I command you to rise!" ?

Business - Investor's Business Daily

The Lame Shall Walk

Wed Oct 13, 7:00 PM ET

Stem Cell Research: In more than 2,000 years, only one man who walked
the Earth has done what John Edwards (news - web sites) says John
Kerry (news - web sites) will do if elected. And His name isn't on the
ballot.
...Edwards, in a 30-minute speech before
1,300 supporters jammed into a Newton, Iowa, high school gymnasium for
a Monday morning campaign rally, promised the crowd:

"We will stop juvenile diabetes, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and other
debilitating diseases. ... When John Kerry is president, people like
Christopher Reeve are going to get up out of that wheelchair and walk
again."

-------------------------------------

Then again, if Kerry starts to raise the dead (especially in Chicago), they might stop voting for him!!!

When he walks on water, he brings his own Perrier but prefers Vichy.

Gotta watch out. In many places like Chicago and Phila the dead vote goes heavily for the Democrat and it may be Kerry. In 2000 the majority of the dead vote in Philly went for Algore.

The "dead vote" is firmly in the Kerry camp. They think Kerry's one of them!
