From Dick Cavett Show:

"The fact of the matter remains that after I received my third wound, I was told that I could return to the United States. I deliberated for about two weeks because there was a very difficult decision in whether or not you leave your friends because you have an opportunity to go, but I finally made the decision to go back and did leave of my own volition because I felt that I could do more against he war back here."

He filed for transfer 4 days after his so-called third wound. Hardly a difficult two week decision.

He just lies and lies. He filed to transfer 4 days after his 3rd Purple Heart? That just shows he was aiming to get out. And then he claims he had to make a hard decision and it took him 2 weeks?

If, as records indicate, he requested out on 17 Mar 69, got at least a couple of weeks leave of his return to the states, someone wanted him out of there quickly.

Why am I saying this? Because he reported in Brooklyn on 11 Apr 1969. What'd they do? Arrange a private plane for JFnK?

For the love of God guys. This was actually said on the Dick Cavett show?
I don't understand? Maybe one of you can shed some light on it.
Why the hell isn't the mainstream media reporting any of this?
Why the hell is the mainstream media so for John Kerry, and so against George W. Bush?

Every time I read something like this, it pisses me off all over again.

The dominant media culture isn't exactly mainstream, it is way left of center, made up of liberal to libertine types that study in liberal arts colleges, taught by socialist professors. They go on to work for media outlets that start from the premise that mainstream America is basically stupid, that our free-enterprise system is corrupt and selfish, and republicans are all dirty tricksters that want to pollute the earth while exhausting its resources.

Don't expect much help from the media in stopping John Kerry. A poll out this morning says that journalists covering the race favor Kerry 12 to 1 over Bush (although they actually like Bush more on a personal level). I would suggest that a spokesman for SwiftVets.com get on the talk show and talk radio circuit ASAP!

You're right when you say "don't expect much help from the media in stopping John Kerry.
I live in the Warren, Michigan. Warren is a suburb of Detroit.
I have sent note after note after note to local television news channel 7, Chuck Stoke, Editorial Director, asking him why it is that his news station doesn't report all information on John Kerry, and let us come to a conclusion or vote based on ALL of the information available. I asked him what ever happened to journalists being unbiased. I've even gone as far as to attach some news reports contradicting some of the reports that channel 7 has aired.
And, at first, he replied back to my note, thanking me for contacting channel 7 news, and that he would get back to me with more information. Then I sent him another attachment. This time when he replied back, he said that he had forwarded my email to his boss, and that she would be getting in touch with me. But she never did.
Well, I've have sent him a number of emails, and attachments, more or less pointing out the bias by which channel 7 news reports by. But he hasn't responded back again.
I know that I shouldn't let it, but I can't help it, it just amazes me that no news outlet, be it television, newspaper, or radio reports ALL of the information on a story now a days. They just report it the way they see fit. The way they want things to go. Even something as important as the election of the President of the United States.

Panther

Why don't you get yourself a permit and park yourself in front of Channel 7's front door and start passing out information to the man on the street. Make sure and notify other news stations in town you are going to do this. It will be interesting.

U S Army EOD,
Are you being sarcastic, or are you serious when you tell me to get a permit and park outside the door of channel 7 news?

I'll tell you. It just irritates the hell out of me that the media in general throughout this country will not report anything if it does not look good for John Kerry, or any of the Democrats.
If they catch wind of something that President Bush, or any of the Republicans have said or done, that looks bad for them, for example,
THE ABU GHRAIB(SP) PICTURES,
the media will shove it down our throats over and over and over again.
You noticed that the media hasn't shown once, pictures of the poor Iraqi prisioner, who got their finger, toes, hands, feet and even their heads cut off, by Iraqi prison gaurds, by the orders of Saddam Hussein?
From what I've heard, some of the prisoner were even crucified.

But we didn't hear anything abou that.

I honestly believe that the liberal media, the democrats, and the John Kerry supporter aren't going to be happy until we are attacked again.
Then you'll hear them crying the loudest for us to save them, to protect them. I would pick up a weapon, throw it at them, and tell them to protect their own sorry butts.

It was amazing, right after the attacks of September 11, 2001, people were being friendly and courteous to each other. Letting people in front of them on the roads, no aggresive driving, no road rage.
I told my wife and friends, "mark my words, I give it a month at the outer most and people will become complacent with their life styles again, and more or less forget about what happened on that fateful day."
And guess what? I WAS RIGHT.

I've even heard some people say that they didn't think that the terrorists had the guts to attack us on our own soil again.

They will.
They're just waiting for what they think is the right time and the right place. And if John Kerry gets into office, and starts giving the terrorists lip service like Clinton did after they attacked the twin towers in '93, the embassies in Africa in '96 and the U.S.S. Cole in 2000, then they will see that as a sign of weakness and surly attack.

I was thinking the same thing. If this shoes was on the other foot, the media would be slamming it down our throats, so instead it was ignored. Anyone Tivo the Cavet interview? I am just sick and tired of watching this bufoon being given a 'media pass', this is insane.
