This is the same misleading, biased writing that has been going on since Swift Boat came into the popular press.

"Never, in the best part of two decades, have I had to reject, throw away or send back for rewrite so many letters filled with so many frauds and character assassinations," wrote Tim White, editorial page editor of the Fayetteville, North Carolina, Observer, in an exasperated August 15 column. "I have as much respect for the attacks of the Swift Boat Veterans as I have for the barrages of Whoopi Goldberg and Michael Moore. None."

One or two letters should suffice. Guaranteed reaction if someone stands outside the office building and hands out flyers stating the author is ignorant  for the following reasons: Pick any of several posts that give comprehensive explanation of what really happened. !st PH yet 7 days later in own diary JK states they had not been fired at yet. Squad of 9 NVA/VC firing at one half rate of fire for AK-47 (300 rds. per minute) for 90 minutes equals 243,000 bullets yet only holes were from previous days engagement when boat taken out by another crew. Kerry states he stayed behind yet the truth is he fled. |
